That's how to celebrate signing a new contract Adrien.
Is this race heading for an all-British podium?

More bad news, as Dippofix might be leaving us. It hurts me to ask, but anyone for Tour of Wallonie?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hanzen restores order there. Hopefully he should be able to handle the slope on the next stage easily and keep building up those bonus seconds. A win is not expected from him, but it's not beyond reason or reach

I was wondering if I should report Ride London on PCM13 or PCM14?
In stage races, I'd prefer PCM14 f.e. as time gaps on hilly/mountain stages seem to appear more often (so less 50 man groups on short but steep climbs).
However, I'm not sure if there's anything to take into consideration apart from that. You guys maybe have any advice?

PREVIEW: 2nd Ride London Classic
A warm welcome to the preview on the upcoming classic, the Ride London Classic. On 4th of August, we will head on to that big race that features roads in the city as well as in the environment of London and will end on the prestigius "Mall" right in London. In the next few moments, you will learn some about what is going to await you watching.
This race does not really have a history. There has only been one edition so far, in 2011. Back then, Mark Cavendish won in front of Sacha Modolo and Samuel Dumoulin. The race was held as a test for the Olympics in 2012.
As cycling has been a rising sport in Great Britain and the race as well as the Olympics were so successfull, this year we head on to the 2nd editon of the Ride London Classic.
Riding around London, one would assume a totally flat profile, but the region gives opportunities for climbing and so does the race. You would still call the classic flat, but one should really watch out for deciding moves and crucial gaps on the several short climbs.
This makes the result of the race a bit unpredictable. However, it will surely be decided in a sprint. The question is how big the group of sprint contenders will be when heading to the finish. From a bunch sprint out of a slightly reduced peloton to just a small group, everything is possible. Let's look on who will be in the race.
The full startlist you can see here. You will see that we have 16 teams taking part, bringing 6 to 8 riders each. All in all, these are 110 riders, of which everyone could be the winner (except the 8 guys from Thüringer Energie, because you would certainly not appreciate that).
Please check if all your riders are actually in the race. If not, please tell me, as no one is free of errors. Such errors can still be corrected. (If that is fine with Ollfardh, Vacansoleil could also send two more riders if you take that race day into account.) We now go on to the most interesting part, the favourites:
The Sprinters:
As the race is most probably going to be decided in a sprint, I would probably bet on one of those guys for the win (only the captains are listed, as I do not consider their leadout as favourites).
Marcel Kittel (Argos/ FLA 78/ SPR 82/ ACC 83)
Willem Brouwer (Belkin/ FLA 76/ SPR 78/ ACC 79/ HIL 74)
Fabian Brookes (Bardiani/ FLA 75/ SPR 80/ ACC 77)
Roberto Ferrari (Lampre/ FLA 75/ SPR 77/ ACC 76)
Barry Markus (Vacansoleil/ FLA 74/ SPR 76/ ACC 76)
Mario Guido (MTN/ FLA 73/ SPR 76/ ACC 76)
Ben Swift (Sky/ FLA 75/ SPR 74/ ACC 75/ HIL 70)
Adam Blythe (BMC/ FLA 74/ SPR 75/ ACC 74)
Adrien Petit (Cofidis/ FLA 73/ SPR 75/ ACC 75)
Dermot Walker (NetApp/ FLA 72/ SPR 75/ ACC 75)
Jempy Drucker (Accent Jobs/ FLA 72/ SPR 73/ ACC 73)
Kevyn Ista (IAM/ FLA 72/ SPR 73/ ACC 72)
Favourites from a breakaway:
However, you never know, how a race is going to work out. These guys can be called the strongest out of the non-sprinters:
Alessandro Ballan (BMC/ FLA 78/ HIL 74/ FTR 77)
Filippo Pozzato (Lampre/ FLA 77/ HIL 74/ SPR 73/ ACC 74)
Ian Stannard (Sky/ FLA 76/ HIL 71/ FTR 77)
Sergey Lagutin (Vacansoleil/ MO 72/ HIL 74/ FTR 74)
Stefan Denifl (IAM/ MO 72/ HIL 74/ FTR 72)
Nicolas Edet (Cofidis/ MO 73/ HIL 73/ FTR 75)
Christophe Le Mevel (Cofidis/ MO 73/ HIL 73/ FTR 74)
Guillaume Levarlet (Cofidis/ MO 72/ HIL 73/ FTR 72)
Sergey Firsanov (RusVelo/ MO 73/ HIL 72/ FTR 74)
The only teams not having anyone mentioned above are CCC Polsat and Novo Nordisk. They will surely try do get a result through a breakaway.
I hope you feel well informed now. I am eager to see the race, I hope you will join in again on the live coverage.

Good preview! Belkin's mission: drop Kittel on those hills.
And go Mario!

Wow , high competition on this one Markus does have a good chance for a podium however, if our Leadout makes a perfect sprint Don't like that we have 5 sprinters with us though xD

No mention of Jeremy Powers once again. Scandalous.
I think this race will be slightly too hard for Dermot at the moment Shonak but stranger things have happened I suppose.

What is Kittel doing here??
And Brouwer. As long as AI Belkin does what every other PCM AI does (nothing) then we should be fine, but still, Kittel has got to be the number one favourite. |

Stage 1 - Aarhus - Vejle
Today stage will be hard to predict, the hills are short, but with a high average, and Kiddesvej ( 18 % average ) and the finish will make it hard for the sprinters, so a Puncheur might take his chance, and in that the Breakaway or T.Sithembile are the best bets.
Favorites
A.Hanzen(SKY), E.McDermott(SAX) , G.Ciolek(MTN) T.Sithembile(SKY), M.Vantommei(CRE)
F.Amorison (CRE) , F.Veuchelen (VCD) and J.Valencia (COL) forms the breakaway with no energy wasted
F.Amorison wins the first KoM sprint
F.Veuchelen takes the 2nd KoM sprint where they still have 5'44 to the pack with 87 km to go
F.Veuchelen attacks with 20 km to go, and takes the KoM jersey along the way.
And down in the pack, Sky pushes to hard that the pack now only consist of 30 people, only Hanzen has a leadout!
And the sprinters set themselves up, Sithembile still pushes hard as they go into the climb
Ciolek launches early on the climb, Hanzen accelarates faster!
And wins, gaining 32 seconds down to the others! 1´20 lead to Wiggins, he may just have secured the Jersey! Ciolek 2nd and Abundi 3rd.
