Why can't Hamilton have problems instead of Rosberg? |

I guess you forgot the rest of the season? Hamilton dnf in Australia and Canada because of technical problems and in Belgium because of Rosberg. And his qualifications in Germany and Hungary were destroyed because of technical problems. And I think hoping for technical problems at the other car isn't the right way to support...
Nice victory for Hamilton. He really deserved this title. 11 victories and 8 times (9 with Hungary) he beat Rosberg in a duel, while Rosberg beated Hamilton only 3 times (including Monaco). Unfortunately his car got problems today, which he really didn't deserve. Great race for both Williams drivers and don't forget Ricciardo on a great fourth place after starting last.
Have to say that anyone who would drive the Mercedes this season got first and second. Hamilton is an outstanding talent, but Rosberg made it very difficult, which says a lot about Rosberg as well. He did a great job this season and he may be proud of himself.

Williams 3rd in the Constructors, and Bottas 4th in Drivers ahead of Vettel and Alonso is an amazing achievment. They absolutely earned that and i am so excited to see how they progress into next season.
Will Stevens brought his car home in 17th which was a solid performance given all the surrounding circumstances. Good news for Caterham after Kobayashi retired.
Button putting on a show. I get ever more confused about whether he'll have a drive or not. Magnusson slightly dissapointing but given the lap 1 contact i guess he can be forgiven.
Hamilton was perfect. Rosberg was unlucky but i doubt he'd have been able to do anything about Hamilton anyways. Lewis deserved champion of 2014 and you can't argue with that.
Mercedes also break the record for most wins in a season, topping McLaren and Ferraris joint record of 15. That's damn impressive and they will still be the car to beat in 2015.
Great season and i am excited about next year already.

While I agree that, at times, it was a great season for the teams at the top of the rankings, I have to say, this season wasnt all that great in my opinion. I mean noone was even close to the Merc's, so it was always just gonna come down to a due between them. Riccardo got a lucky a few times and thats it (even though it was great to see how mediocre Vettel can be at times in a car that isnt dominating).
But overall this season was disappointing for numerous reasons as well. The engines sound... well bad, despite the fact that you get used to it. But a real formula one car should, in my opinion, have a louder sound.
Something I couldnt get used to was the optic of the cars... Depite what everyone says, those "sex aids" at the front of most cars are just plain ugly, and that coming of a couple of years with these ugly ducklings:
And lets not forget the whole thing being about to collapse on itself. I dont know about you guys, but I dont want to see a season with only 3 teams fielding 6 cars each...
The whole sport is not sustainable and becomes increasingly artificial. I mean the proposed rule changes like 2 different classes (Factory and Private split) and the increased reliance and more or less auctioning off of seats (example Sauber) to the highest bidder has nothing to do with the Creme de la creme of Motorsport!
DRS and (K)ERS also make this whole thing more and more ridiculous.
And next year they wanna add to the show by taking away flying restarts after the safety car and replace them with standing starts. The whole momentum and flow of the race will be lost. And half the circuits that are raced next year are generous parking lots as well, so there is no punishment for driver errors half the time.
There is a reason that F1 lost so many viewers this year, and I think that trend is just gonna continue.
I really fail to see what there is to get excited about... F1 is just digging its own grave and as long as Bernie is still in charge the whole is getting deeper and deeper...

I'm just on a high after a great afternoon watching it all at a pub. I reckon by tomorrow i'll agree a lot more with your comments and go back to bashing on the decisions being made

Great to see Hamilton crowned World Champion again, he most certainly deserved it , although in some respects i do feel a little sorry for Rosberg |

Suzi Wolff gets an expanded role at Williams. Basically replacing Nasr as test driver for a selection of Friday sessions and other test events.
Sainz Jnr gets the second seat at Torro Rosso. Nor surprises there, but it confirms that Vergne will not be in F1 next seaon. No news on what he'll be doing yet. Sainz Jnr is very interesting, he's quick and all the chatter from TR indicates he's very professional and smart.
Just waiting on McLaren. Rumor is that Alonso has confirmed to the King of Spain that he's signed with McLaren. If true you imagine the delay is due to McLaren negotiating between Magnusson and Button, and the Dane brings the money...

Overall great news for Susie. I hope, that, maybe in a few years, she could race a few times for her team.

Don't think there is any chance...
She is just not good enough to race in F1 competitively. Even in DTM she could not compete for points the most times. Also, doesn't look like it, but she is over 30 already.

From what I know she does have an outgoing personality and is a nice gal. I sure wish her the best too.
At the moment, the only woman who is on F1 level or close to it is de Silvestro.
