This is the big cobble stage of this TOTC. We have many kilometres on the cobbles which cover the flat roads of Denmark.

Nys would make the break once again. Today he is joined by van Bon, Krivtsov, Pedraza.

van de Walle, de Negri, Malori and Grau would try and bridge across to the break ... but they wouldn't manage it, they would be stuck in no mans land today.

The teams of Tschopp and Clarke up the pace with 90 km to go and the break at 6'30.

With 83 KM to go van Bon falls and would not make it back to the trio up front.

With 70 KM to go Mizbani attacks out of the peloton. He must have confused these Danish cobbles for mountains, somehow! He is quickly caught.

Only Nys and Krivtsov survive from the original break. They have 4'40 over the peloton.

Petacchi looks, finally, to be coming into some form so the Germans add their weight to the chasers.

With 7 KM to go we are finished with the cobbles. Nys has '40 over the red jersey group, which contains all of the favourites.

With Borussia Dortmund out of domestiques there is a big slow up in place and Nys extends his advantage.

With 3 KM to go Nys has '35 when Quinziato attacks! Surely it is too late to bridge across!

With 300 meters to go Quinziato has caught up to Nys, who is almost dead on his legs.

Quinziato comes flying past Nys in the dying meters..... The Belgian didn't even know!

A super late attack pays dividends for Aviva - Ryanair. Nys, after a long day in the break, has to settle for second. He has 2 stage wins himself to console him though.

Petacchi and Davis make it a 3-4 for Borussia Dortmund. They finished really quick, with Saramotins and Bozic in tow. If Borussia Dortmund put up a more dedicated chase the stage win may well have been theirs.

Paulinho and Barguil lead home the favourites, but are credited with the same time as the stage winner.

The veteran SmarTone rider was rewarded by his aggressive early efforts with a place in the break. It took a while to establish and included a variety of riders, including, at one stage, the red jersey!

Louder was joined by Pereyra, Henderson, Aldape, Lund and Kipling.

7up on the front.

With 100 KM to go and the gap at 8'20 the usual chasers, Aer Lingus and Bluebell Creameries, up the pace.

After a long race and yesterday's crash Koren is really suffering. He is dropped with over 35 KM to go and can kiss his goodbye to his GC hopes. He would lose 10'00+ today.

With 36 KM to go the break are looking good for the win, they have 4'10 over the 'chasers'. Serpa is not present in the GC group, but will regain contact.

Pereyra sees his opportunity with 17 KM to go. He attacks the rest of the break. But the break work well together and merge back up. The final climb with 7 KM to go is approaching.

The red jersey attacks! Szmyd puts in a big attack, only Martens can go with this move. The chase ...... there isn't any! The two riders pull out a very nice advantage before there is any chase.

Outfront the 6 man break will contest the sprint finish together. Pereyra leads them into it.

One of the more anonymous teams in Belgacom get their win today. Henderson was comfortably the fastest so it was a shock the break didn't put in more attacks, especially on the final hill inside 7 KM to go.

Nevertheless the marquee signing of Belgacom delivers today with Lund and Louder rounding out the podium.

Szmyd and Martens are the next group to come home together. They will gain 20+ on the rest.

Petrov leads home the GC group today. The only man in GC to lose time was Koren. He lost heavily. Di Gregorio is the big winner on the day, he moves up into the GC top 10 for the first time.
