Project 2100 - 2nd edition!
DanielDalgaard
Like ten days ago I was accidentally thinking about a few years ago, when I was working night shifts in a home for mentally disabled kids, and I was playing a lot of PCM during the nights, and when the game would load for a new race, I would read stuff on this forum.
Back then I came across the old project 2100 and beyond-thread, and it was the best thread I had ever read. Anywhere. On the entire internet. Then I thought I really had to find the old thread and write a post, telling you about how despicably happy I was that you did the project. Then I had to go to the grocery or something and forgot all about it. Next day I was searching through the forums to find something about the rating of the u23 scouting areas and for whatever reason, I stumpled upon this NEW 2100 AND BEYOND THREAD! It's literally impossible to tell how happy I was, and since then I have been reading through thread, 2 or 3 pages, then wait a few days, 2 or 3 pages, then wait a few days, just to save some niceness for the future.
Being used to PCMs horde of bugs and oddities I can't say I'm surprised the story ended like the first one, but none the less: It is a scandal and I think we all have a moral responsability to bombard Cyanide with mails complaining about this bug.
And I have one little request: is it possible to see the palmarés of Andreas Bjerre in case you don't consider Denmark to be a major cycling nation?

TL;DR: This was just amazing, too bad it ended.

Wow, I had almost forgotten about this. It's only by accident that I saw that there had been a new post here. I was sure the whole thing was gone the way of the dodo; into myth.

It was a bit of work to do this, and I'm very glad to see that someone enjoyed it, it makes the hard work feel worth it. I haven't opened the game in many, many months, but I will do my best to see if it works, and I will get back to you with his palmares.

I'm a fan of the career mode, especially devoloping new super talents and play on highest difficulty, and I also reached the end of game in the year 2037 in 2 different PCM's. I discovered the date is no coincidence. The game is using Unix time system for its main date in the game which isn't able to continue after a day in 2038, search for "year 2038 problem".

The only way to play on for me was to set the date back in the 1970ies with db-file editor, including change of birthday dates of riders, etc. The only things that I can't fix are Palmares and the evolution diagramm of the rider in game and I had to delete some urgent news, concerning transfer dossiers (PCM 2019). First season works so far so good. Other solution may be building a new database out of your savegame and starting a new game.

To see your first generated talents retiring after a long successful career is fun.
