A good game destroyed by that ugly Japanese ref. Croatia deserved at least a point there.

I really don't hope that this is the best Croatian goalkeeper out there. He was really bad today (can't remember his name).
Neymar best Bralizian of the game? Well, maybe he was that in 4 minutes, but the 2 goals does not show, how he played. I would say Oscar, Paulinho or Gustavo was the best Brazilian, but it is hard to decide, when a side is playing so badly. It was clear that the pressure has/had make its marks..

Not a fan of brazil, but it was the referee who fucked up and not the players. |

Sadly, he is the best what Croatia has currently. His name is Stipe Pletikosa tho and he played in national team since 1999. He's 35 y/o currently and this is his 3rd (if not 4th) WC already. Experienced goalie, definitely.
I don't think that he's so bad (neither that he's specially good - just solid), he just was (as their whole team) unlucky tonight.

Ignoring the terrible calls from the referee, Oscar was very, very good tonight (even before his goal). Best player on the pitch

Pletikosa was one of the better players on the field. Oscar pulled a sneaky Ronaldinho-esque shot on him, tough to save that.
Biggest disappointments were Hulk & the refereeing. |

I don't think he was, but that is just my opinion. Nor was he the baddest.

I think you are right here. He was unluky. He was moving for left to right, when Neymar shot (the first goal) and therefore it was hard for him to dive back from where he came from.
The Oscar goal was bad goalkeeping imo. He was a meter from it, and could see the shot the whole way. But don't Croatia have any newcomers, who might be better at diving down as it was needed tonight?

I thought Pletikosa was bad myself he was poor at Spurs in the past. He did not get down quick enough no way you let a toe poke beat you from outside box. Man i love the Croatia midfeld 3 of Modric, Rakitic and Kovacic |

The ref did a good job up to this point. A shame for him really.
Totally agree with you on that point, Neymar is rubbish
What???
People buy new eyes or stop talking rubish. He was the best brazilian on the field, with Oscar. Haters gonna hate...
That penalty was really poor, but i would not say they were carried to win. How can people blame Brazil as the team? It is fault of referee, not players! Home teams are always helped.
What would be better to avoid is this thread, as it is full of bias. If it was belgium in that situation, majority would be in exctasy.

Just wanting to give my kraut on that game:
First of all is it horrible that the 4th official has a that ridicilous substitution board (actually watch) god is that horrible.
Even more ridicilous is that in Manaus they were painting the pitch so it doesn't look like it's a Kartoffelacker.
The game was rather bad, I wonder if Dani Alves is a winger or a full back, for the first one he should be up front but not as a full back (first goal for Croatia)
Pletikosa seems to be too slow when he needs to dive for the ball (first and third goal) I guess Mexico will have had a closer look
Well the penalty was clearly none but well.. He should have paid more attention how Hulk has fallen down instead of where he got touched. He fell like he was wrestled down whilst he was just held a bit on the arms which is in every game. Too bad that already that World Cup got there negative attention.
There needs to be challenges but those dinos just have got the goal line technology 2014 being too late there (other sports having it for 10 and more years) so I guess 2034 will be maybe the time where there might be challenges. I mean there doesn't have to be 500 but just 2 for the whole game without if it's a right call the coach gets it back. Thats a good compromise but the dinos think more about helding a cup on other planets.
But no those dinos like to talk about stupid stuff of a game instead of great stuff of a game.
The only good thing is the spray for the close free kicks that can be kicked in directly as I hate it when the wall moves steadily and slowly forwards.
Oh the memories on the 2006 World Cup...
EDIT: Forgot to mention what I wish every single diver and actor could get for any dive or acting a yellow card. Not because of that penalty but for example when Neymar hit I think Modric on the neck holding is face and eyes.
Did Neymar a ninja jab or so that the blood pressure in the eye got too much or why would you want to hold your face whilst the pain is around the neck?

Well, Neymar wasn't all that great yesterday, really.
And yes I kind of like Brazil(unless they play against NL ofc ). And you need to calm down a bit

@Rin: Fred was awarded the penalty
Oscar wasn't playing good, he lost the ball so often, that the statistics aren't out yet, it will be expected to be finalised at the end of 2045. Pletikosa was very solid this match, only mistake was, that he lost the ball into his own goal at the penalty and had a slow reaction deadline in the second goal. Besides, he was awrded man of the match on several native-language talking webistes.
