Lopez is already 1st in GC! How many minutes on the 2nd he will have at the end??
Latour looks good for a podium place. Power impressive for a first year. Ciccone impressive too, strong climber. Some surprising names in the top 20 |

Told you so...
Lopez said minutes ago, heard him in radio, he was very happy, because today he wanted to see his rivals for GC, he took it slow and calm and didnt force himself, he also was surprised because he expected a harder pace uphill, and said he's ready to take control of the race by using a harder pace to eliminate rivals...
He is now in yellow and if he stills healthy and strong he can have a good result...
Sounds like he at least will one stage later in this race if his Columbia teammates can control the race then.
He should win the race as he seems to be the strongest uphill. But there is no tv coverage? |

Lopez pretty much has this in the pocket. Expected more from Vervaecke tbh. |

So Herklotz lost 4 minutes on every serious contender...
brb, crying in a corner until Degenkolb wins the stage and makes today slightly bearable
The Herklotz bubble already popping?
Lopez seems firmly in control of the things.

Last night heard Lopez on radio again and said it will be hard to control the race, so that's why he prepared himself to attack in last two stages... lets hope he does it well...
Also said, Rozo and Sanchez are a little bit sick, but will give everything they have to increase the pace so he'll end the stage alone (they expect that)
Sometimes while listening to him I think he maybe thinks to much of himself, he needs to put his feet on the ground because he hasn't win yet...

Well he did it again... last 8 kms were just about power... he said last night that he'lll do what he just did today...
Im only praying for him to be clean... I think he is a great cyclist but I'm not sure about his coach in the National Team and in his local team which has a long story of doping... let's hope this is a fair win...

Looks like López has this in the bag indeed, though he should be wary of Power.

Here's Lopez saying he saw Power wasn't as strong as he looked.. so he just managed to stuck to his wheel... later increased the pace in order to avoid Power's attacks...

As far as I can see on the profiles, wasn't those climbs also in the range of 6% in average? It looks like the stage Rasmussen won in Tignes, and I suppose Lopez would prefer a little steeper climb to assert himself completely. Its the same thing for La Touissuire tomorrow, kind of a boring climb imo.
But Lopez seems like the winner, but you have to give it up to that guy from Australia, Power. Only 19 years old.. on another note, almost all guys of Denmark abandoned, roflmao. I miss a climber. |

I think Cort and Carbel abandoned to participate in Ronde van Midden-Nederland (1.2 race) for their team Cult. Their race was over anyway at this point |

Lotto's talent Vervaeke takes final stage
Colombia's Lopez seals the overall with Robert Power continuing an impressive season and Rybalkin rounds out the GC in France

Yes, Igor Decraene past away this morning/last night. Some websites says it was suicide, some says it was an accident, I'm not sure what to think.

Some nice u23 results that went unmentioned the past weekend and week.
Bauhaus with another win. This time in a Dutch 1.2 race. Van Trijp and Capiot are two other u23 in the top 10.
Daniel Hoelgaard won 2 stages and the young German climber Emanuel Buchmann wone one stage in a Czech 2.2 race. Buchman also finished 3rd in the GC.

Two stages of that race were passing very near my residence, but too much work stopped me from going to watch it.
Seeing such a talent in Hoelgaard would be nice.

A good result for two French U23's Ledanois and Latour in the Swiss 1.2-race Tour du Jura.
