@ SzYnA - Yeah, was super happy to sign him. He looks like a really good rider!
@ tsmoha - Yeah I think he will! I dont know if you remember, but he was part of the reason I started my Katusha story, 1.5 years ago Him and Selig I like. I think he should improve a bit, but I dont think he will grow a lot. Thanks!
@ fernando and Sutty - Yeah that manager is quite brilliant isn't he? Thanks both!

@ Ian - Thanks. I hope so! He's a rider I really like, and he isn't too good for the team imo, so I thought it would be awesome to sign him. Petrus should be a great rider. Maybe he can convince Stybar to join too?
@ cunego - Thanks a lot, Im glad you took the time to catch up, after your vacation (I saw you mentioned that somewhere) Glad you've been enjoying it, I'll try to keep it up.
@ HaRe - Thanks, Im really excited about the signings. I think the team will be able to make a serious push for PCT next year with this squad.
@ all - We are back to racing! I've already raced the first two stages of the Czech cycling tour so expect that up sometime today!

I hope that one day Barta and Konig come to Sparta! Then you can fight with the biggest in each tour. Also can't waint for Poljanski wearing the Polish champion jersey with white eagle! |

@ Ian - I agree I hope he will some day
@ Jesleyh - Yeah, great rider he is
@ sutty - Thanks, you'll find out soon!
@ SzYnA - I hope so too! It wont be for a while though. I'd probably have to be atleast PCT or PT Thanks, Golas is the current champ in my game, but I hope Poljanski can win it back
@ all - sorry for the lack of updates the past few days. I had to sort out the final things for my school this year, but everything is done now! I've been finding it hard to sit down and write reports due to how excited I am for school, but Im going to try my hardest the next couple days, since I still am not certain how much time I will have once school actually starts for this, but Im hoping atleast a couple reports a week.

Czech Cycling Tour Stage 1 (2.2)
July 11th, 2013
The first stage was a long flat timetrial that race favourite Zoidl is expected to win. There are certainly a lot of challengers though, who will be eager to beat him if they can do so.
Our own rider with the biggest hope of getting a result was Okrouhlicky who set the fastest time for a short while, but ended up falling way down in the rankings. It was still nice to have him up there for a moment!
After all other riders have crossed the line, its only Zoidl left and he's set the fastest time on the 2 time checks along the course! This is looking like a great time too, and he snags the victory by 7 seconds over Popkov of ISD!
1 | Riccardo Zoidl | Team Gourmetfein Simplon | 53'55 | 2 | Vitaliy Popkov | ISD Continental Team | + 7 | 3 | Silvio Herklotz | Team Stölting | + 14 | ... | 23 | Tomáš Okrouhlický | AC Sparta Praha | + 1'07 |
Czech Cycling Tour Stage 2 (2.2)
July 12th, 2013
Stage 2 was a little hilly and of course a lot different from the first day as that was a prologue and this is a road stage. The favourite for today will be a sprinter and there are a lot of them here, like Vasyluk, Pinto, Lovassy, Shilov and maybe even Hunal.
Just as expected the day came down to a sprint and Vasyluk took the win in commanding fashion. He will be hard to beat in the coming days, as the final two days are also made out for the sprinters. Hunal did well to grab a 6th place too!

Czech Cycling Tour Stage 3 (2.2)
July 13th, 2013
Stage 3 is even more flat than yesterday and this will mean Krotky has a better shot at sticking with the leaders today!
Today the sprint starts really early and the front of the pack is charging really hard. Pretty much all the riders are suffering with their hearts probably about to pop out of their chests. Hunal picks a wheel and manages to get pulled way up to the front in terrific position.
And just like yesterday, Vasyluk is the winner with another great performance in the sprint! He has really been a class above the others. Hunal had an amazing day to finish in 3rd, which the team can be very happy with.

Czech Cycling Tour Stage 4 (2.2)
July 14th, 2013
We are already here on the final day and it could have been a better race for us, overall wise, but in terms of stage results, Martin Hunal has been sprinting very well lately. We are hoping he can keep it up for the finale today!
Just like the first two road stages, today will also come down to a sprint and Tomas Smolen makes an early move trying to catch some of the better sprinters off-guard. The move works out fairly well, however...
...it couldn't stop Vasyluk from winning 3 out of 3 flat stages, a truly amazing race from him! The sponsors will be happy with him!
On the other hand, Hunal didn't have his best day today, and could only sprint to 11th place. He would have hoped for better, but in terms of consistency, he's done well the first two sprint stages, and to almost crack the Top 10 on the 3rd isn't all that bad.
It would have been a better tour if the team had a man better placed for the overall, but we didn't so we will take what we got on the flat stages from Hunal.

@ sutty - Indeed Hoping someone else can step up too Next year it wont be all Hunal
@ Miguel - Yeah, glad you think so.
@ Pelli - Thanks so much. Its great to hear that! I've been trying my best, apart from the last report which I actually played about a week before I reported it. And thats no problem. I think this will probably be going at a slower pace now, so it will be easier to follow.
@ Froomedog - Thanks, I agree. He's the perfect rider for the CT. I will for sure.

Central European Tour Miskolc GP (1.2)
July 20th, 2013
We have two nice races in Hungary now, the first in Miskolc a place we are familiar as we have had a race here already this year! The route is a bit different of course, but this time the field is a bit stronger, with lots of strong sprinters ready to battle for the win, including Lovassy the winner of last years edition! Hunal isn't with us in Hungary, he's raced a lot lately, so Krotky and Nesveda will have to step up if we are to get a good result here.
The 8 man breakaway forms with Dolezel the man representing our team! They make some strong pulls and lead the race until the final 5kms.
Hudecek attacks from the peloton past the breakaway and begins to sprint for the line! He's got a large gap, but his legs will be in so much pain right now, its unlikely he can hold on.
The sprinters hit the line after Hudecek is swept up and Te Brake can say he was the fastest of the riders today! Its a good win, having to come around Rossi. Evidently, the pace was too high for any of our riders, but we will be hoping for a better result tomorrow if we can position our riders well.
1 | Remco Te Brake | Metec - TKH Continental CyclingTeam | 3h17'53 | 2 | Sergey Shilov | Lokosphinx | s.t. | 3 | Enrico Rossi | Meridiana - Kamen Team | s.t. | 4 | Andriy Vasylyuk | Kolss Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Blazej Janiaczyk | Bank Bgz | s.t. | 6 | Boris Shpilevsky | Lokosphinx | s.t. | 7 | Jesper Asselman | Metec - TKH Continental CyclingTeam | s.t. | 8 | Daniel Hoelgaard | Etixx - IHNed CT | s.t. | 9 | Tomáš Buchácek | Bauknecht - Author | s.t. | 10 | Marco Zamparella | Utensilnord - Ora24.eu | s.t. | ... | 13 | Radovan Dolezel | AC Sparta Praha | s.t. |
Central European Tour Budapest GP (1.2)
July 21st, 2013
So the 2nd race in Hungary now, and we have the same squad as yesterday. We are looking to have a bit better result here, but the field is just as strong as yesterday!
The day was much like the previous, except that we had no rider in the breakaway this time, and there were no late stage attacks, so it cam straight down to a sprint. Once again the pace was so high, that it was hard to position Nesveda or Krotky.
Today, Benjamin Giraud took the win in a sprint, he did great in the final few metres with a huge burst of speed. He had shades of Cavendish there. Krotky could only salvage a 14th place, so once again a poor result. We will be hoping for better at the Dookola Mazowsza.
1 | Benjamin Giraud | La Pomme Marseille | 2h50'19 | 2 | Marco Zamparella | Utensilnord - Ora24.eu | s.t. | 3 | Daniel Hoelgaard | Etixx - IHNed CT | s.t. | 4 | Jirà Hochmann | ASC Dukla Praha | s.t. | 5 | Alois Kankovský | ASC Dukla Praha | s.t. | 6 | Luka Pibernik | Radenska | s.t. | 7 | Enrico Rossi | Meridiana - Kamen Team | s.t. | 8 | Nikita Umerbekov | Continental Team Astana | s.t. | 9 | Krisztian Lovassy | Utensilnord - Ora24.eu | s.t. | 10 | Robert Bush | La Pomme Marseille | s.t. | ... | 14 | Rostislav Krotký | AC Sparta Praha | s.t. |
