Selwink & Ian Butler: thanks
Flash Interviews
Journalist: I'm here with Sylvain Chavanel, third of the race, Sylvain how do you feel?
Sylvain Chavanel: Last year I was a team-mate, I ended 3rd today I came as a team leader and I'm taking again the third position, I'm happy with this result but still since Fred Guesdon the french did not shine in this race.
Journalist: Thanks Sylvain. I see Sébastien Turgot, Sébastien not the luckiest man today what happened?
Sébastien Turgot: Well, I was in 3rd position in the group, and a few meters before the end of le Carrefour de l'Arbre my wheel got stock between two cobbles and it had been folded, I had to wait for a new bike and I lose all my hopes.
Journalist: We will see you next year. And now Tom Boonen is coming, Tom second in the Ronde and second in Roubaix, lots of people told you were THE favorite what do you have to say?
Tom Boonen: Fabian played well today, he did quite like last year, leaving far from the end, last year I had Sylvain to get me to him but today I was alone, we were in the same group but the others knew my strength and they let me do the chase alone, we watch each other a lot and we offered Fabian an amazing victory.
Journalist: Thanks Tom and good luck for the rest of your season. Mark Velpois has now joined us, Mark your the revelation of this Paris - Roubaix who are you?
Me: I'm the one that no one expected, the surprise, for those who follow just the big races but for those who watch carefully all the result, they realized than I'm just earlier than what they predicted, next year I will have some presure because people will watch me but now I'm just enjoying the moment.
Journalist: Thanks a lot for your time and farewell.
Now I'm with Fabian Cancellara, today's winner, Fabian you rode 80 km alone today, you don't like company?
Fabian Cancellara: (laught) Well, yes I like company, the one of the fans on the roadside cheering me up and making me want to go further. I did not think that I will make the gap on la Trouée d'Arenberg but when it was done I could not stop my effort, I was gone.
Journalist: This a great victory, the one that many will remember but you how do you feel now?
Fabian: I'm pretty tired so i'm going to rest for some time before coming back to racing but I will enjoy this like I'm use to do for my victories.
Journalist: Thank you Fabian and again congratulation. |

About the Future
After Paris - Roubaix, many teams showed interest in me. Only one caught my attention, for the moment I can't give you names but there is a huge possibility for me to leave Team Europcar. However I will honor my contract till the end and this will not have any impact on my result so far. About the team I may join, I can only tell you that this is a World Tour team so this mean I will be part of all the cobbled classics. And the last clue is tow letters : A.G. I will take some rest and I will come back for the Tour de Bretagne.
See you |

Wow, a huge step. I'll miss him at my favorite team, but I wonder what team he'll end up with. Next hint? |
