Cadel doing great aand nice result by Taylor in California, a bit dissapointed not to see Cannondale sent Sagan, he usually is there, but your not arguing with that desition

One more thing: you started AToC without any introduction (which was before every stage race so far), so we didn't even see who's participating in your team.

Can you check Santaromita in career interface to tell us what happened with him (in his profile injury can be seen if he's injured)?

The doctors have said it was a fractured kneecap, and he will be out for some time. Currently we have switched him an Pinotti in most races to balance our schedule back out for the upcoming future.

I actually haven't been doing the PreRace for races that aren't world tour, though there really aren't too many of those. Guess I should still give a startlist though!

For AToC:
Van Garderen
Phinney
Bookwalter
Cummings
Lodewyck
Moinard
Morabito
Warbasse

Really depends on how bored I get, I try to only go through one or two days at a time, but if I've got nothing else to do I end up going a bit faster.

No idea how sadly true this is...basically I just set him to sit right next to Nibali, and then do whatever Nibbles does. Has been working well so far.

Sagan is actually at the Giro, though you wouldn't notice him with the results so far. Finished just ahead of Oss on the last true sprint stage.

To Selwink, and the other similar comments: Thanks I'm really hoping to continue to do this well. Really happy with where Cadel is, (actually rather be in 2nd than 1st right now since I'm basically down two riders).

Amgen Tour of California
May 14th, 2013
San Francisco – Santa Cruz County: 188.9 kms - Hilly

The second stage in California is a little bit more hilly, and the teams setting pace will probably get to decide if the sprinters get another chance or if they want to cause some damage and put some time gaps between the favorites. A breakaway might also get a chance with the tough terrain towards the end.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/21.jpg

The break of the day builds a solid gap ahead of the peloton and would decide some of the early sprints on their own, as well as crown a new King of the Mountains which BMC's Stephen Cummings would take.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/22.jpg

An attack up the first climb sees a pair of Cannondale riders Kristjan Koren and Paolo Longo Borghini along with Luca Wackermann (Lampre) and Alexandre Pliuschin (IAM) escape the peloton and eventually join the BOTD on the second climb.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/23.jpg

Those moves would pay off as they breakaway is only just able to hold off the peloton, as Koren takes the Victory ahead of a furiously fast Taylor Phinney, with more of the breakaway taking 3rd and 4th. The peloton merging with the break in the last kilometer though would prevent any time splits from happening.

The time bonus's give Taylor Phinney the overall lead, while the GC riders all remain in contention. Haussler though does keep the points jersey which is what Phinney really wants.

Giro d'Italia
May 14th, 2013
Sansepolcro – Firenze: 181.1 kms - Hilly

A very difficult stage nine is classified as hilly, but the several peaks may make it feel more like a mountainous stage. Sometime a breakaway is expected to win, and today seems like the right chance for one to work. There won't be any sprinters left at the end of this and I don't think the GC favorites can do any damage to the others either.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/91.jpg

With a good chance for a win, many tried to get into the break of the day, which end up taking much longer than normal to form. The group barely gets enough gap to feel comfortable when the first climb starts.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/92.jpg

Throughout the day the break enjoyed about an eight minute cushion, which the young rider classification leader Ion Izagirre (Euskaltel) would enjoy and put to the test as he was just over three minutes in time behind Wiggens (Sky). On the last climb he would finally depart from the breakaway and move to get a solo win and possibly take the lead.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/93.jpg

The win seemed inevitable for most of the day, but the question was how much time would he gain over the quickly closing peloton. Even though the sprinters were well behind the front of the peloton still looked like it was ready to sprint and shut down over two minutes of time in the last 10km. Finishing only 51" behind Izagirre catching the rest of the breakaway.

Amgen Tour of California
May 15th, 2013
San Jose – Livermore: 185.3 kms - Flat

Day three in California gives us a day with multiple possibilities. The terrain should be flat enough for the sprinters, but a late climb could give the punchers a chance. BMC is in a good position to control the race though with Phinney able to sprint if they pace is slow, and Van Garderen ready to take the lead if the punchers force the pace.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/31.jpg

Stephen Cummings would move quickly to reach an early first KoM sprint, and then would find himself with Francisco Mancebo (5-Hour) and Ryan Eastman (Bontrager) in a small breakaway. Cummings would continue to win all three KoM points and take a very large lead in the classification.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/32.jpg

The punchers would take their shot as Vasil Kiryienka (Sky) and Andreas Kloden (RSLT) make an attack, but they are not allowed to get far and eventually would lose time as the peloton geared up for a sprint.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/ToC/33.jpg

While BMC was driving the field, Giocomo Nizzolo (RSLT) would be sitting on the wheel of Phinney, and had a host of other sprinters behind him. During the sprint Nizzolo would fly by along with Candelario (Optum) and Mline (5-Hour) finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The bonus seconds would once again change the GC, as Nizzolo takes the overall lead ahead of Phinney. 23 riders are still within a minute but several of the GC favorites have dropped time.

Giro d'Italia
May 15th, 2013
Cordenons – Altopiano del Montasio: 185.3 kms - Flat

The first true mountain stage of the Giro, stage 10 features two category one climbs, first the Passo Cason di Lanza, followed by Altopiano del Montasio with an average slope of 8.7% for over 10 kilometers. The climbers will be looking for a win, and the GC favorites will trying to gain precious time over the others.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/101.jpg

A large breakaway is formed with mostly decent climbers but Daniel Oss also finds a way to get in and is able to take the first sprint without any real contest. Getting over the climb though would prove a challenge for the sprinter and he would struggle the rest of the stage.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/102.jpg

Early on the passo Cason di Lanza Igor Anton (Euskaltel) would attack and attempt to bridge the gap to the breakaway. The peloton wouldn't show much reaction and let him fly.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/103.jpg

It wouldn't take long for the Euskaltel rider to reach those falling off the back of the breakaway, and then get to the front of the break and put pressure on everyone in the group. None in the breakaway would be able to stay with the Spaniard as he takes the KoM and lead the group on the descent.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/104.jpg

There might have been more to Anton's attack that just going for himself as Sammuel Sanchez puts his great downhill skills on display as he attacks. Unlike teammate Anton though, the field isn't going to let him go as Nibali (Astana) comes to the front and leads the peloton downhill.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/105.jpg

The start of Altopiano del Montasio gets some excitement as Vincenzo Nibali makes a move. Brad Wiggens (Sky), the Maglia Rosa, is the first to his wheel and Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) along with Domenico Pozzovivo (AG2R) follow.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/106.jpg

With the first attack brought back, Nibali would try again, this time marked by Robert Gesink (Blanco) who is follwed by Samuel Sanchez. Others join and the selection starts to take shape with Michele Scarponi (Lampre), Tom Danielson (Garmin) and Brad Wiggens.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/107.jpg

All the attack have caught the select field up to breakaway leader Igor Anton, and when the others start to look around for the next attack, the steady Cadel Evans just continues to motor on up the climb at his pace, surprising several riders as he just cruises on by and into the lead.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/108.jpg

The next attack though finally comes from Igor Anton who had been in the break since the first climb. A very select group now with him, of Evans, Wiggens, Nibali and Hesjedal. None of them are able to react and just continue up to the finish.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/Centaursunder/BMC/2013/Giro/109.jpg

The attack would hold as Igor Anton goes on to win the stage, a futile sprint for second would ensue with Wiggens just getting in front of Evans and Nibali, while Hesjedal fades back just a little bit more. But a tremendous day for Euskaltel and Igor Anton with a very impressive win.
