Stage One of Paris - Correze
Continually crashed on me, possibly due to only having two riders... who knows. So i simulated it.

Yeah, but if he was portugese, you would be calling for the locking of this story, along with caling for a pogrom against rjc_43...

Not really... The his idea is still there... And the fact is that we don't have any brilliant riders... So I can't argue with him there...

Stage Three of the Tour des Pyrenees
Another very very mountainous day.
A lot of attacks went from the start, but Quickstep were easily controlling it all. Only one dangerous attack went, but with a long stage ahead of them, they wouldn't make the same mistake again, and would keep a tight lid on the gap.
Then, just as the heat started being put on in the pack, Malacarne had a puncture. Typically the worst moment.
He rejoined the peloton on the downhill, but the damage had been done, and as the group shot up the next mountain, Malacarne was dropped, and Levarlet was left without help once more.
Over the top of the 3 to go mountain, the pack had been cut down to less than 15 riders.
And the lone breakaway rider would soon be caught.
Levarlet was looking strong compared to Seeldraeyers, who could barely hold his team mates wheel.
But Levarlet still thought it was too far to go alone, so didn't do any work. Up the final climb, he quickly got a gap however, but some mysterious anti-player power sucked his abilities right away, and caused him to bonk.
And the twats that are Quickstep, went past him in the final km.

Stage Six of the Portugal Piss
Another "flat" stage (my arse is it flat - ive seen flatter hills)
The stage would see only Belkov finish in the pack.
A break went, cracked, got caught.
The sprint was one of the worst outcomes ever. Azevedo jumped over Belkov AND Barloworld scored a 2-3 and lots of points.
I don't think im going to get promoted...

I'm looking at having to come top 3 in this Portugal Tour (not impossible, but bloomin' hard). As well as having to WIN at least 3 2.1 tours and some top 3 places in 1.hc and 1.1 races. Then and only then may i be able to get promoted, but it's a long shot

Personally I wouldn't think too much about getting promoted.
Just keep on racing like you do it all the time, it an amazing story
Keep going on |

Well, lets just say some riders who may or may not be coming in next year won't be too happy about being in a continental team... but if i did stay down, i think total domination of the CT next year would be a surety.

The hardest part of managing a CT team is having the will to go on if you don;t get promoted - I wish you the best of luck, and hope this awesome story doesn't die

Well, if i didnt get promoted to be honest i agree it will be very tough to continue, especially seeing as i have reported every race ive done apart from 2 single day ones. But we'll see. If i'm not going to get promoted i'll seriously have to consider cheating... *cough* We'll have to wait and see i guess!

Most of the time i take conti teams with good young riders. Then it takes me two seasons to get promoted. In the first i train my young talents and in the second, i win whatever is possible.
So if you don't get promoted, no prob i think!!! |

But i take bad teams, play on hard, and get promoted. Thats how, and what, i do. If i fail that, wow, i may have to do better cycling in real life instead, and that would take even more effort!

but i do think that the guy with the weird name is right to some extent.... it would be good to see a story without automatic success but that may get boring for you
anyways good luck and i would love to see this continue |

Paris - Correze Stage two
The last stage of the mini tour, and the realisation that had Levarlet raced this, he could have got more points for 2nd place than for 1st in the Tour des Pyrenees...
I did race it, but really should have just simulated it as it was an embarrasment to race.
No pictures cos i couldn't be hacked to.

Stage Four of the Tour des Pyrenees
We decided to take the fight to Quickstep in this Mountainous day.
So, following our previous good tactics of sending Mespoulede up the road on day one, he went off again. Placed 11th he was out of the points scoring zone anyway, and so he might as well gather a few more mountain points and see if he couldn't stay away for a good stage finish.
One of the riders from the breakaway, Baez, was far too strong for anyone else, and so he rode away solo for the majority of the stage. Mespoulede was in the 2nd group.
But just over the 2nd climb, Mespoulede only had one minute on the peloton as Baez had eight!
By the end of the descent, Mespoulede gave up the fight, and let the pack catch him.
Up and over the next climb they went, with no change in tempo. Mespoulede started to go backwards by this point, and he'd bonk long before the stage was finished.
Up the next climb, a group of favourites attacked, Seeldraeyers included.
Levarlet was quick to follow and got in the select group easily. The single Une - Orbital rider did sweet F.A in the group, which none of the riders were happy about, and he attacked on the final climb.
As he got away, it appeared that Levarlet and Lesvenan were the strongest two remaining in the break as first Seeldraeyers and then Ramirez cracked.
Baez by this time was too far up the road to pull back, and so he soloed to a great victory.
This time Levarlet drunk at the right time, and led out the sprint to claim 2nd place.
We already knew however it wouldn't be enough to claim first place, but would second overall be in reach?
Lembo would roll in last place today after featuring in the breakaway.
And it was!
Levarlet claimed 2nd overall and 2nd on the stage. Not many points, but better than none!
