This is the sort of day that Liquigas needed - a long and relentless day with a lot of fairly steep climbs. It looks like Basso really wants to do something.

Nice from Nieve.
And Liquigas starting to rule the race once again.Too bad they do the job for the others too, but Basso third week monster is awaking maybe?
I still expect Basso,Scarponi, Rodriguez and Kreuziger (here i hope only) finish together, if there will not be some special downhill action. Not sure about Hesjedal...

This looks promising. Nice to see Liquigas pulling hard already.

Yeah, i hope it will be only leaders battling the Giau, maybe with Szmyd and Tiralongo also.

Szmyd was penultimate in the main group. Don't know if he's having a bad day or just went to pick some bottles for his mates.

He was steadily drifting back and spent the last 2kms at the back

Nieve dropped by Serpa and Samoilau?
EDIT: Nah, he seems to just give this up.

Nieve stops working and starts to drift back. I hope that he can recover and stay with the group.

Szmyd is gone. Bad news for Basso, although he still has Capecchi and Caruso.

Kreuziger is definitely suffering.
Tiralongo must be Astana leader now.

Well there he goes. Tiralongo gets a huge chance to prove himself here.

He had full mouth of how he is the favourite this year, screw you Roman
Edit: He will not loose loads of time, but this is not how the favourite should look!
