Great move from Horner, he waited for TVG and helped him to the line.
Apart from that, that's how a bike race should look like! |

Great ride by Van den Broeck
He can get top ten in the tour if he keeps this up. |

On a more serious note: I have never seen Alpe d'Huez without all the people on it. I seriously had no idea that place was so... green...

Menchov let go completely after he was dropped, so you can't bring him in this lol.
Even Tankink outclimbed Menchov if you talk that way |

Nice stage.
Brajkovic is about to win the biggest race of his life, while Contador's preparation is right on schedule. This, of course, means Brajkovic has peaked too early and won't be at his best at the Tour....which is of course the smart thing to do, as he can (and will) win the Dauphiné and not the Tour.
On a related note:
4 and a half minutes slower than Pantani (and Pantani at one point took a wrong turn, and had to come back, before continuing).
Just saying.
That says a lot. As does the fact that Coppel was up there.

Taaramae was even worse than Menchov.
Hmm. Maybe too limited on a real climb? |

He lost 12:28, so he must have been struggling. |

Now Contador and Jani took 42' 20'' to climb the Alpe. One thing has certainly changed, which is that they can get doped to the eyes like in the 1990s to early 2000s, but the pattern which started in the 1990s (along with the EPO use, mind you) hasn't changed.
Also look at the top 5. It says RIDICULOUS there.

If you take out Time Trials and proven dopers, then the fastest time is Indurain with 39'28. That makes Contador and Jani's time look not bad.

this doesn't list all of them, there were plenty of others before Indurain in the more recent years
