Giro d'Italia 2009

So a good second win for Scarponi in this Giro. Was always going to be breakaway win day. Tomorrow, Vesulvio Smile

Yes, and there's no way in hell that we're going to buy the game UNLESS Vorganov's FTR stat is above 80.

Relax, dude Wink

Great win for Scarponi, he was now not considered like a favourite, and he can goes in breakaway very easy

Why? Because he lost 5 seconds in 150 meters?

I doubt it. Your clinging on to something that isn't there

I talked about doping case what I hope doesn´t have anything with Menchov - however it can break your spirit easy anyway....

What doping case? He has only been named twice by anonymous sources without any hard evidence. As far as I am concerned, when there is no proof, there is no case.

It's much different from Valverde for instance, against whom is proof, but Spain is protecting him.

Ruben - don´t take it as offence- But even you must admit that journalists who asking you with connections doping aren´t exactly pleasant even when they have no evidence and you are clean as newborn... I am not saying that he doped - not even a little - I said doping case and I meant Kohl doping case - however journalists took it like another witch hunt - take for example this headline https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othe...ement.html And I can imagine that in Italy it is by far worse...

Lance already wins every day when he has 2 hours of TV coverage on him, when there is no immediate reason for it.

Menchov is not weak because he lost 5 sek, on 100 meaters. He only got it on the last km, but could still hold on, and De Luca got superpowers from somewhere 0o
Favorite riders: All non Italians.
Favorite team: Astana and Cervélo

Menchov should have tried to follow Pellizotti's wheel, at least to show he can be better at climbing than Di Luca.

Good stage today.

Tomorrow, Di Luca can take some time
Menchov takes it back on Sunday in Rome.

Menchov wins the Giro.

...So in other words he should risk his elsewise almost completely certain giro title just to show he`s better than the guy he is beating in the overall classification?

Yeah that`s logical. Wink

So, that settles the final GC then:

1. Menchov
2. Di Luca
3. Pellizotti
4. Sastre
5. Basso
6. Leipheimer
7. Rogers
8. Garzelli
9. Valjavec
10. Bruseghin

Bruseghin MIGHT be able to gain a spot on sunday. maybe.

And Menchov wins the Giro.

schleck93
The biggest surprises in that GC is Pellizotti beating Basso, Rogers 7th and Leipehiemer 'only' 6th.
