Stage 3
The 3rd stage is flat again. After the start in Sosnowiec, the riders head to Katowice for a few laps. Nothing that will disturb the sprinters.
4km to go
With rain pouring down again in Poland, and narrow roads with lots of corner near Katowice, a massive crash is to be expected. And it happens, 4km before the finish, somewhere halfway in the peloton. Murilo Ficher looses control of his bike in a wet corner and hits the tarmac. The half of the peloton looses 2'30 today (all our important riders are present in the first peloton), what brings back the riders that still have a chance to win the GC to 27.... At this point, a 14-man BOTD has been caught, with Galimzyanov and Chainel being the most known riders.
Finish
It's the 3rd mass sprint and Heinrich Haussler makes it 2-1 for him in the duel with Tom Boonen. The Aussie is the strongest today, beating Boonen and Marco Bandiera. Thomas Dekker finishes in a decent 17th place.

Stage 4
And another flat stage, but this one is different compared to the previous 3 stages. The reason is 3 steep climbs between kilometre 90 and 120. After these climbs, a 50km flat part awaits to the finish in Cieszyn.
Castroviejo, Costa, Dean, Van der Sande and Vaugrenard form the BOTD, and they get joined after the 3 climbs by 3 big names. Jakob Fuglsang, Vasil Kiryienka and Samuel Sánchez, all 3 more than 5 minutes behind the GC-leader in the GC, use the hills to counterattack, and the 8 form a strong breakaway.
The pace of the peloton increases, which causes a split up, with only 67 riders left in the peloton. Probably both Boonen and Haussler don't feel good today, as their teams don't try to bring back the BOTD. Only Katusha wants to do the work for Pipo Pozzato, but it ain't enough to catch the BOTD.
The 3 riders that joined the BOTD halfway the stage are stronger in the sprint, having more energy left, and it is Astana's Vasil Kiryienka who wins the stage, his first win of the season! Fuglsang finishes in 2nd place, and Van der Sande in 3rd.
Tom Boonen wins the sprint for the 9th place at '58. Best from our team is Sep Vanmarcke in 16th place. Due to the split up, another 6 riders loose time, so only 21 riders are within '22 of GC-leader Boonen.

Stage 5
The queens stage in this edition of the Tour de Pologne is stage 5 from Jastrzebie-Zdroj to Ustrón. 151 kilometres including the same climb 5 times and than a wall to the finish (4km with peaks to 12%). The GC will probably decided today.
29km to go
While ascending the 5th climb of the day, the decision is made for the stage win. Sergio Paulinho has already dropped Steve Chainel, and 3km before the summit, also Michael Schär (Red Bull) can't follow the Portuguese Saxo Bank-cyclist. As the peloton is over 3'30 behind, Paulinho will take the stage win, unless he cracks.
4km to go
The last climb of the day has begun and Paulinho has got a comfortable lead of 1'42 to a group of 4 with Fuglsang, López, Kreuziger and Sánchez. At the foot of the climb, GC's number 2 Heinrich Haussler attacks, probably not knowing how steep the last climb is...
Finish
Being helped by the fact that he had lost several minutes in the earlier stages, Sergio Paulinho manages to stay in the lead untill the finish, taking his 2nd win of the year (1st one was a stage in the Österreich Rundfahrt).
Vasil Kiryienka and Damiano Cunego finish in 2nd and 3rd place, something we dont care about as they've lost many minutes in the previous stages. To the surprise of many, not Robert Gesink is our leader, but Thomas Dekker! Being helped by his countryman, Dekker manages to ride away from Haussler (green arrow) and Boonen (yellow arrow), taking 4th place in the stage and, more important, the yellow jersey!

GC
Thanks to many riders loosing time in the previous stages, we dominate the GC!
1 | Thomas Dekker | Monster Energy - Subway | 20h07'38 | 2 | Robert Gesink | Monster Energy - Subway | + 22 | 3 | Heinrich Haussler | Rabobank Cycling Team | + 34 | 4 | Giovanni Visconti | BMC Racing Team | + 54 | 5 | Wilco Kelderman | Monster Energy - Subway | + 1'19 | 6 | Francis De Greef | Monster Energy - Subway | + 1'29 | 7 | Tom Boonen | Sony Ericsson | + 1'42 | 8 | Lars Petter Nordhaug | Sky ProCycling | + 1'50 | 9 | Jérôme Pineau | Saur - Sojasun | + 4'03 | 10 | Vasil Kiryienka | Pro Team Astana | + 4'41 |

Word from the DS
When you've got a plan, and it all works, you have to be happy! Now we have to defend Dekker his GC-lead in the last 2 stage. Probably by letting a breakaway winning them, so our opponents (mostly Haussler) won't take bonus seconds.

You seem to have forgotten that it was a Tours special jersey, but of course you can, if you want use it the rest of the season.

Stage 6
The penultimate stage in Poland brings the riders from Oswiecim to Bukowina Tarzanska. 223 kilometres over hilly terrain, thus the last chance for the GC-contenders to improve our defend their positions.
4km to go
Only 1 rider is left up front from today's BOTD, Omega Pharma's Kristof Van de Walle. Many riders are suffering in the hills near the finish, and the peloton is thinning out. This is the moment for Giovanni Visconti to attack, in an attempt to take over the GC-lead. Only Cunego and Fuglsang seem to be able to follow him. Both Thomas Dekker and Robert Gesink can't follow....
Finish
Although struggling a lot in the last 2 kilometres, and loosing almost 2 minutes, Kristof Van de Walle is able to maintain his leading position and thus winning the 6th stage of the Tour de Pologne. 14 seconds behind him it is Giovanni Visconti crossing the finish line in 2nd place, also taking some important bonus seconds.
Thomas Dekker gives everything he has left in him in the last 2km, and finishes in 10th at 1'01 (gesink at 1'10). This means that the calculating can begin, as it'll be very, very close...
