Surprise in Australia
Our first great surprise of the year and my friend and teammate Trent Lowe surprised everyone and will wear the Australian Road Race Champion Jersey after he won the national Championship for the first time of his career. He really came out and showed his true ability last year during the Tour de France and 2 years ago in the Tour of Georgia wear he rode the mountains like a great climber.

As a South African I am fairly dissapointed, but for story purposes go ahead.

Maybe you could report the 3 GT's rather than just the one you entered as im sure the riders watch it on tv and talk about it like you are watching it. Because this seasons story seemed short to me and the other 2 grand tour would make it longer and add depth maybe you could say you phoned up teammates and they told you how the day went so it is a big of a blog from another rider for you |

Our main addition to the team is Thomas Dekker who will be one of our leaders throughout the year. Despite his twin evil brother in an alternate universe getting caught for doping this Dekker is completely clean. He has an 81 in TT and an 77 in mountain so if he improves in the mountains then he can contend for the tour. If not then he can be a great Lieutenant for the contenders.

Another one of our big additions is Dominique Rollin. The Canadian had a disappointing year last year getting no results in the top 3 throughout the whole year. He will be a great lead out man for Farrar and when Farrar isn't around he may be the leader himself. He has already been named to the Tour down Under and the Tour of Qatar roster.

3 other new riders are our three young Australian sprinters. They all dominated the U23 calendar winning most of the sprints. They will get some good results in the future. They are; 19 year old Greg Scoullar, 22 year old Daniel Hawke, and 23 year old Campbell Dodds.

Chris Froome is the final addition to our team. He will be a good help in the Moutains and in the hills. He's fairly young and is already a decent stage racer. He will make a great addition to the team.

The Tour down Under was a disappointing race for us. Lowe was the leader of the team and we didn't do much, Our highest placing was in 28th place with Trent Lowe. Not a great first race of the season. Brett Lancaster of the Cervelo Test Team won the race.
In the Tour of Qatar we won the opening TTT and that was enough to help us hold on to some great positions. Wiggins finished in 3rd and Rollin finished in 4th. Positions 3rd-10th were all held by Garmin riders. Tom Leezer of Rabobank won the Tour of Qatar and Matthew Goss finished 2nd.
Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise
Jure Kocjan won the race and Hans Dekker surprised us and finished in 10th place.

We will be without three riders that we had last year. Killian Patour and Jason Donald became free agents and they have not been picked up by any team. Svein Tuft signed a contract with Trek Livestrong and will work with some of the best young riders including Taylor Phinney.

Tour Mediterraneen – Stage 1
Today’s stage is mainly flat with a couple of small climbs throughout the race. Unlike last year I have a great shot at winning this year because the only real other contender is Rolland. There is also the legendary Lance Armstrong in the race this year who decided to switch teams from Astana to Saxobank. Right from the beginning of the race there was a breakaway.
They built up a gap and with 20 kilometers to go it became apparent that they were going to make it. They sprinted within the group and Roy won the stage for the former Pro Tour team Francais des Jeux.
I finished with the peloton but we all lost around a minute and a half on the breakaway.
