Are you making a new story for the new pcm or are you going to wait for a while until you start one? |

Our first start in Europe. Group 2 lead by Sep Vanmarcke opens season in France, joining 5 stage long Etoile de Besseges. We can´t have big expectation, starting list is full of big names (Cunego, Moreau, Roche, Gadret, Caucchioli, Uran, Nuyens, Barredo, Gilbert etc.). We´ll see how things are going to happen.
Stage 1
Against all odds this flat stage, jotted by many falls, has decided about many things as most of main contenders lost their chances to win overall.
John Gadret, first victim.
Danielle Bennati was the next.
And finally, mass crash, including Gilbert, Cunego, Roche, Coppel, Cardenas, Aerts.
Peloton has split after that accident, luckily Sep Vanmarcke was in front group. Maurizio Biondo took stage win.

Stage 3
Only hilly stage of Tour. My main goal is to improve overall position for Sep Vanmarcke.
And things seem to be good, all previous breaks were caught. Now, 13km to go, Sep launches strong attack!
He´s not alone, of course, Milan, Van Heeswijk, Simon, Kvist and Geslin joined him few km later.
7km to go, leading group is formed, new men are Biondo, Bosisio, Uran and El Fares. It looks breakaway will succeed!
When Max Heeswijk opens the sprint, Sep is in good position...
...but is tired after previous effort and can´t fight for podium places, Anthony Geslin is a winner and Biondo renewed leader. Sep mpves up to nice 7th place overall!

I'm sure that he will be able. Whit the bonus sprint, you can maybe reach top 5?

Stage 4
Mark Cassidy joined today´s break and was very active through the stage.
Disaster for Biondo! He fell down with 40km to go, when the pack already increased his pace. Maurizio just lost his dream about overall win...
Last escapee, Didac Ortega, was ahead when the pack started to sprint.
He wasn´t successful though, caught few hundred meters before line. Romain Feillu took stage win. Sep Vanmarcke moves up to 5th place in GC!!

Stage 5
Circuit stage with quite dangerous last km brought very surprising winner to us. Oliver Zaugg, great climber, was able to hold his position, no one from elite sprinters couldn´t sprint over him in narrow streets. Sep Vanmarcke took 4th place, our season best.Stage was stigmatized by several falls too, El Fares and Simon lost their TOP10 place there.

Our training in Qatar paid off! Opening stage of Malaysian Tour was windy, my men controlled situation in front of pack all the time. But less then 3km to go, there were AG2R sprinters duo with nice gap in front...
Jan Ghyselinck made an excellent job and caught them with Maes and Eeckhout on his wheel. AG2R riders both have cracked and Maes and Eeckhout moved ahead!
And that´s it! We have TREBLE! Nicolas wins ahead of Nico and Jan...fantastic start in Le Tour de Langkawi!

Stage 4
We are heading toward longest stage of Malaysian Tour, last before Genting Highlands. Stage is classified as hilly, containing only 2 small hills though.
Early strong breakaway group cooperated well and took gap over 10 minutes over peloton. No one of my riders were here.
5km to go, only 5 escapees still in front, peloton is flying ahead, but Lloyd Mondory doesn´t want to give up!
And his effort is paying off, he keeps small advantage and celebrates nice win!

Nikolas Maes is still holding 2nd place in GC, however tommorow´s stage will change everything. We are looking forward to stage finishing at Genting Highlands, and hoping Deignan will show his climbing skills there. |

I´m back after short break with less time available for PCM and even less motivation to continue with story.
Stage 5
Today you can read about decisive stage of Malaysian Tour, finishing at famous Genting Highlands. My only hope is Philip Deignan, let´s see, how good or bad he was today.
Nico Eeckhout was one of first victims of final climb.
Only Philip Deignan can keep in bunch few km later...but it is nothing surprising.
Garzelli and Rolland launch first real attack!
Wave 2...Perez Cuapio (new signing at Garmin) and Pozzovivo.
Deignan follows Perez, Jimenez and Kiserlowski in wave 3!
More and more riders attack, but 8km to go, Perez Cuapio is alone in front.
Pozzovivo joins him at steepest part of climb.
4km to go, Rolland was able to catch the leaders, supported by Devil.
Philip Deignan is struggling and can´t keep pace with strongest riders, our only hope has just burned...
Perez Cuapio attacks in last kilometer, neither Rolland nor Pozzovivo can respond!
And Julio Alberto Perez Cuapio wins the stage and reaches yellow jersey!
Deignan finishes as 21st, big disappointment for me.
