Andreas_K, I meant in general, not now. The discussion about Contador started, today, by a reply I did to Michel, probably two pages ago |

What I was trying to prove is that inicials aren't a proof for a thing. Colom wasn't even in Liberty Seguros and Contador is the only guy from Liberty in that year who fits in "A.C". And you understand more than doping than I do, so it was found a blodd bad with Valv.Piti on it or Valv.Piti was just referred on documents?
Bags of blood doped with EPO and quite a few other substances.
Some had "Valv" on the label, others had "Valv (Piti)" and others had "18". Plus many many MANY other different codenames. Those three are the ones that (according to CONI) match Valverde's DNA.

So, in the Puerto's documents are there many riders who weren't suspended with blodd bags just like Valverde? |

what do yous think of Floyd Landis's return to cycling after a two year ban, what do yous think about him wanting to ride the tour de france again. It would be interesting to hear everybody's opinions. |

If your name is in the Puerto documents, it's pretty much 100 % certain that you've doped - you may not be a doper anymore, but you were back then if you're in those documents. How else would you end up there.
I don't see how anyone can deny that.
I agree with that absolutely.... and that is the reason why Valverde, Contador and ALL the others should be suspended... Otherwise Basso suspension was little ....weird.... |

According to both Manzano and Fuentes, riders, football players, tennis players, athletics runners....*cough*rafanadal*cough*
So far the only guys to be suspended were Jaksche and Basso who both admitted it after being suspended, and Scarponi who owned up and said "yeah, it's me, the codenames Zapatero and El Presidente are both me"
(which is why I sometimes make silly jokes about doping and the shoe industry when Scarponi wins something)
EDIT:
By the way, codenames for Jaksche, Valverde and Basso were respectively
"Bella" (the name of Jaksche's dog), Piti (the name of Valverde's dog) and Birillo (the name of Basso's dog).
Now look at some of the other names and guess who they may belong to..
1 - Hijo Rudicio ( "Rudy's son" ) - Rudy Pevenage was Jan Ullrich's mentor and basically a father to him...
5 - Sevillano - Oscar Sevilla?
6 - Sancti Petri. - Santi Perez?
12 - Guti. - Gutierrez Cataluña?
13 - Serrano - Marcos Serrano?
14 - RH - Roberto Heras?
16 - Vicioso - Not that hard, eh?
17 - Porras. - no clue
19 - Oso. - one of the Osa brothers?
24 - Clasicómano (Luigi) - no clue
25 - Amigo de Birillo - "Birillo's Friend" - extremely likely to be Giovanni Lombardi
26-Huerta. - no clue
32 - Zapatero - Scarponi
There's many more in there too.....like Urko which is rumoured to be the name of Pereiro's dog....Sansone which is the name of Bartoli's dog....etc.
Also, reporters of El PaÃs reported at the time that they had access to the full documents of Operación Puerto, and one of the major points they made was that included were the records of the several dozen thousand euros Tyler Hamilton payed Fuentes while he rode for CSC

So, there bags with blodd who are known to be of Valverde. Contador, Paulinho and other former Liberty Seguros riders are just mentioned in the document? So Michal, if Valverde is suspended, Contador must be too?

In a perfect world, all the Puerto-involved riders would have been banned by now /and with the rules that applied back then, back now like Basso and Jaksche). |

I admitted that I may be wrong but I still do not believe that Valverde or Contador are innocent. And I do not believe that if someone (spanish government? ) really wanted that all of suspects have been suspended.
But ok. According these facts - only Valverde should be suspended. But still some justice feels more like "justice" to me. |

Quick.Step neo-pro Kurt Hovelynck fell during a training ride and fractured his skull. He's in intensive care and his condition is desribed as "critical"

That is terrible. It's such a shame that it happens. So Euros.....I always read about so many pros crashing during training. Is it just the narrower roads, big winds, just more time on the bike? I sppose it is publicized more in Europe.
I never hear much about pro crashing in training outside of Europe.? |

He's not a neo-pro, he's already a pro since 2004 and he rode 4 years for Chocolade Jacques/Topsport Vlaanderen.
Besides, that accident was almost a week ago. |

Nobody said he hasn't been a professional since 2004.
He is a neo-pro which is the official term for a rider on his first two years with a top tier team. It is an official statute determined by the UCI that affects both his contract and his team's situation.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with how long he's been a professional.

Oh sorry, but in Dutch we call someone a "neoprof" when it's their first year as a pro rider, no matter what team he's in. |
