Stage 2
Jesolo - Trieste
First stage..sprinters chanche. But this is Giro..hillysprinters will definitely try atack there.
Crash..Euskaltel leader Egoi Martinez is down..he is ok..but will lost today almost 4 min. Spilak from Lampre should step down..Giro is over for him..
Rebellin trying to atack..sprinters has starting to look better position..
Last downhill before the sprint..Ballan and Rebellin atack..
Sprinters are coming..Bennati..Boonen (this was surprise when Bennati notice him ..behind he's backwheel..he was "invisible"..Valverde..Mirko Lorenzetto and wow Voigt is there..trying to defend he's point jersey..
Boonen is going..Bennati has no legs left..Paolini is coming..
Boonen takes stage win..points battle has started..Freire has missed a sprint..Petacchi ..terrible again (like Romandie tour).. 36th.
This is it for Fränk days on pink. Ballan taking over..

92. edition
Stage 4
Padova - San Martino di Castrozza
First time when tour main faovrites should step up...
Barloworld duo..Soler and Augustyn trying to get away..
..and here we go. Schleck atack...
..and Schleck get away..he passes breakaway group... Simoni dont like to wait much longer..Basso and Joly follows..
Karpets..is joining the group..
Here is Schleck..Engels is last early breakaway rider who is forced to give up..Fränk all alone now..
Simoni set the speed now..and this is for Joly ...he cant follow..
..I was already wondering where are the others. Danielson atacking first at the main group..
Di Luca and Soler ...made it into Basso group..
more strong raiders.Valverde, Menchov..Cunego. Cunego was taking short break after that he atacked again..still no Contador... what he is planning?
Basso decided..this is best moment..to counter..and here is Schleck..he take small pause behind Schleck..
..and start to make fast pace..Schleck in difficulty..
..in Valverde group..they all started to atack..and here is also Contador..Cunego and Di Luca are eager to go after Schleck and Basso.
Basso had he's first stage win..But this is way to early belive that it will that easy..
Today he had to made perfect tactical choices and but all out..to gain that stage win.
Schleck is coming 39sec. later..realy strong stage ride..and he will get leader jersey back (still every day new leader)..Basso is just 4 sec. behind in the GC ...
Di Luca taking third..1'21 later..
Tomorrow ..even harder mountain stage

Stage 5
San Martino Di Castrozza - Alpe di Siusi
Great stage...short..but hard. After Basso yesterday stage win..we are quite optimistic.
Matti is down..
Menchov takes control..all what we have expected is here at the front..
..and BANG!! Here go's Contador..
Lampre dont like the situation..Bruseghin takes a lead..he is so good today. Great support for Cunego
..and moment later all this raiders after Contador..look at how strong has Caisse raider ..six Caisse raiders in lead group..good to see Nibali and Pellizotti there.
Moncoutie atack after Contador..Basso trying to follow..this is starting to hurt a little.
Cunego is with Contador now..then Valverde, Basso, Moncoutie..then Di Luca..No need to panic..
..Valverde is pulling that group..looks like Simoni and Soler suffering
..after Valverde Basso takes control..back together with Contador and Cunego.
Valverde takes the lead..Contador follows..Basso can keep it..come on little more!
They are moving away..
Sprint..Contador is strongest..Basso just trying to follow...and then he is greedy. Trying to pass him..
Not quite..but great sprint..after so hard stage..where he was in trouble few times..
But Basso will get maglio rosa..(..a little to early?)

Stage 6
Liquigas hope that wil be peacful stage where hilly sprinters will take stage win..and give for Basso rest day. Pellizotti and Nibali will get green light and take theyr chanches.
Everything still seems to be normal..about 80km to go and Larsson and Rebellin atack..peloton dont let them go..
And here we are last breakaway raider Devolder..
Nibali like's to use opened oportunity..he launches atack..
Here comes..Soler..
They started to work together..
Simoni atack..why..damn. Basso sould move closer to peloton peak..and should be ready...
Then Cunego..Valverde and Di Luca..he need to follow this atack...
Di Luca and Basso has cought Soler, Nibali duo. Quick new plan..Nibali at the front and all out..
Real strong Valverde group is chasing..Valverde, Cunego, Menchov, Karpets..where is Contador?
..and now we have 8 raiders group formed..Nibali keep on pushing..to get max. time between Basso group and main group (included Contador..)
Unlucky Schleck trying to get into Basso group..Schleck has been so far always alone..
..Nibali stepping away when sprint start..great job today..
..Killer has a lead..and ..
..he has one grear more..
Finaly stage win for Di Luca..
Contador coming...56 sec. later..he has given away another minute. He has proven that he is super strong..bu also has made two wrong tactical desicions.
Basso has now almost 2 min. against Contador..this isnt over yet..
Sry. missed to take proper results..

Stage 7
Innsbruck - Chiavenna
Strange profile..all day slowly up..at the end real fast and technical downhill and sprint..day for Bennati.
Hugh breakaway grouo Augustyn is there, Devolder again..Larsson, Albasini. No GC standing threat raiders..but they are planning to keep away..
At the peloton..we had all day stabile..fast pace..Nocentini trying to get away before descent
Descent..this is the end of the breakaway. Peloton is coming..and fast..
..and sprint..Popo opens ..Ballan, Valverde, Bennati,Inglisky.
Weird moment for Ballan..Valverde passes him fast at the right side..same time Bennati passes at the left..
..between Valverde and Bennati..Paolini is coming ..to late..and is that LPR raider Petacchi ?
..and Bennati get he's second stage win..still not point jersey. Impossible to achive..in Giro this prize belongs to hillysprinter (Valverde at the moment)..and it was Petacchi 4th. today. First time at the front..
..and Basso again celebrating..this was 3rd. stage win for Liquigas.

Stage 8
Morbegno - Bergamo
Great challange for sprinters..we will see who will survive last hill.. My prediction will be guys like Rebellin, Valverde, Cunego..etc. To hard task for sprinters..
..and last hill it is.. Good to see Bennati still hanging on..protection man Zaugg didnt have anymore inside..Saxo is builidng a train..for Schleck?..and at the other side Pozzato with Ivanov.
Descent..Ivanov doing great job for Pozzato..this is will be hard to beat Pipo now..
..last corner Schleck is coming.. What a ...!
Not quite..close one. Schleck was so close to beat Pozzato..
Bennati did not had any energy left..but 9th. place and collecting another 7 points is good result.
