I'm sure Gesink is a better stage racer in 3 weeks at the moment, he is also good at time trials by the way. Yet, Dekker is more allround and could do well in grand tours as well. |

Gesink is good but not very good yet in the TT. In something about 2 years he could become the team leader and Menchov will exist just in our memory

Well, somebody who does top 20 in almost every TT he starts in, is in my book a good tt-er
Just check his results in time trials this year on CQranking.com. You'd be suprised. |

I was saying that his results depends of the riders than were in that race, for example he was very good in the Dauphine TT with no very good TT-ers but a worst one in Vuelta, don't forget that he lost the 5th place in the last TT with the first half of flat
Talking about the Olympics was a every good result, the riders that were in front of him were very very good in TT's

I beg your pardon? No good tt-ers in the Dauphine?
I better stop this argument now before I get angry. |

Sorry I didn't write that well, I was meaning that in Vuelta were a lot of good TT-ers while in Dauphine were olny a few of them
And Dauphine was just an preparation race for TDF

Well Aquarius, it is simply not true. Thomas Dekker signed his medical files at the very beginning of the season. He even wanted to scan it to prove it, but then Rabobank already retracted their statement, which was made by Knebel. Knebel himself wasn't informed, the others were.
So another great example of how miscommunciation led to stupid news. The Dutch news is corrected the day after. However, these 'corrections' somehow never make it outside the Netherlands. No miracle riders get bad reps that way.
You still haven't answered the part about 'who his doctor is' though. That was the weirdest news because I haven't read that anywhere.
I still think the France version is the most distorted and wrong version I've heard of all year. Man those journalists are doing a bad job over there fact checking. About his doctor ? I suppose the underline was that he'd still be getting various advices from his not-a-doctor-with-a-degree friend Cecchini. Might be an assumption by whoever based on the fact that Dekker wouldn't easily show his medical file to his team, and that I quoted above. |

The society that is Milram's main sponsor is contemplating an immediate retirement from cycling sponsorship. They're investing about 8 M€ per year (10 M$) in their team.
Could be a lethal blow to German pro cycling... |

Is my memory playing tricks on me, or didn't Milram just sign Gerdemann and another German rider to build a bright new German future? |

At Milram , someones gone and he was the head of Milram to plan a new team
I hope that they have a clause that they will do 2009

I guess when the german public are unable to watch cycling then its a bit of a problem for a german sponsered team. Its a shame |

Pat McQuaid announced on an anti-dopingcongres in Berlin that there will be new doping cases revealed before the end of this year.
He said they found some suspicious things after they analysed the blood of some riders.
UCI will reveal the names when they are sure that no legal loopholes can be exploited |
