That was the Queen stage, meaning that that was the hardest or something. |

There is 1 mountain ITT left, which is next on the program, and there are 2 mountainstages towards the end. None as tough as this one though.
There is also another flat ITT left. If we do well in the TT's and manage to do a little better in the last 2 mountains. We should be looking good for top5. |

I'm not discouraged at all. That last stage went better than i'd hoped for
I'm gonna play the next one now and see what i get
you misunderstood. I mean just because Riccò or someone else is very strong doesn't mean he won't have an off day
As for the mountain TT, don't count on Astarloza being better because he's a better time triallist. that's a time trial for climbers, pure and simple. And the last ITT is barely 20kms long.
On the other hand, the Mortirolo stage shouldn't make any big differences
The presolana stage however.....be afraid. be very afraid.

i really like your story, tough luck on the last stage, but on the one before that you should have gone with cunego and ricco at the beginning, letting them go was the biggest mistake. I cant wait for the kronplatz tt (i think thats the one)!
Looking ahead you are going to need a real big GC contender, one may suggest Sastre.
If you have been can we look at your scouting as it is apart of your story B)
Great story though its going to be a tough call for best read

I'm hoping that some of the other contenders are losing a bit of fitness by now. Unless they've selected the schedule with 3 weeks of peaking they should be dropping by now. So maybe our form canmake a difference. I know it's the MT and not the TT stat that's important tomorrow. |

Sastre sadly is aging. However, if i get the opportunity to sign Valverde or Contador i might go for it though. Or maybe LL Sanchez depending on how much he's developing
I can put some scouting in soon, sure |

Valverde yes
Contador no
Sastre is only on a one year contract i though, i mean as a free agent he would be amazing and could easily win another vuelta and compete in the giro or TDF B)
Id have to look at LL Sanchez.

I think you should sign contador he is ace valverde would be good but i think keep going wiht who you have got and buy young basques as next year anton will improve and be awesome. then have him in the giro/vuelta astarlosa the other one that anton isnt in. Zubeldia the tour and sanuel sanchez the classics then you are sorted |

If Sastre goes free agent i'll definately try and sign him. I'm allready scouting the basque region, i'll be sure to post my findings as soonas my scout returns. |

Not at all impossible. But Valverde is such a fun rider, and has a nicer image/puplic persona than Contador... Contador is the better GT'er though..
But we'll see, still a few months to go |
