My velogames-giro was the worst ever for me I think. Not surprised as disaster was bound to happen after Landa disbanding. Then Zakarin to top it off. Chaves, Ulissi and Jungels were only bright spots. Kangert, Pirazzi and Battaglin were useless in terms of point scoring aswell.

To sum things up
Only 3 stage wins (Foli,Nibali and Valv)
5 days of pink (Nibali,Jungels x3 and Chaves)
1-2-3-6-19 GC (Nibali,Chaves,Valv,Jung,Montaguti)
2 or 3 Points Classification
Well, hoping for top 200
EDIT: I got 81, well 4th in the league, alright.

Congratulations to Sergi for the win and a very high overall placing too!
Nizzolo's experience (another team member) today summed up my Giro very well. Generally around the edge of the top 20 from the 2nd week onwards but falling away even more at the very end of the 3rd week.
Off the top of my head disappointments from my team perspective:
- The downpour just before Dumoulin went out in the 2nd TT
- McCarthy trying for some breaks but not quite having it
- Firsanov being superseded by teammate Foliforov
- Zakarin fall
- Nizzolo finally running out of people to be 2nd to...other than the commissaires
On to the Tour preparations!
p.s. The parallel Nizzolo experience continues because I think I just hang on to a slender lead in the overall points competition but after such a dismal performance it's cold comfort

7th for me. Pretty decent considering the Mareczko fiasco.

Congrats to everybody, especially for our winner.
My experiment went nowhere near my expectations, so Giro went bad for me. At least 7k place isn't 15k place as it was in my first Velo, last year on TdF . Visconti, Ulissi, Majka were good picks. Jungels for Geniez (I was seriously thinking about Bob), Kruijijijsjijisjwijk & Chavito for Uran Uran & Pozzovivo and I have some points to better sprinter than Navardauskas... TO MUCH THINKING! Please remind me when Tour will start to never change my first team, okay? |

Finished 11, decent enough I guess. Made a mistake picking Cancellara as he got sick unfortunately. That cost me a top 10 place. |

Take McCarthy out and stick in Preidler and this was pretty much the perfect and winning (by some margin) team:

Why didn't we guess?!
Thankfully, onward and (hopefully) upward:

Leader Board Updated.
Ian remains at the top despite scoring no points at the Giro. Only Timo was able to take advantage and make up significant ground. Peter Murphy has moved into the top 4 with a good performance and Strydz, Ben, Roturn & Smowz were all unable to make up any ground on the leader.
Meanwhile I finished 4th from bottom |

Can we have a separate leaderboard minus the GT's please
Probably just cursed the Dauphine/Tour de Suisse teams before the further adventures of GT disaster zone continues in July... |

I think its missing riders coz I wanted to see the price of Debusschere and couldnt find him even though hes confirmed in the Lotto lineup. |

Yes, there will be a rejig when the startlist is totally confirmed (and George gets a minute I imagine). Atm there are only 2 Lotto Soudal riders listed and no Kristoff (despite Katusha now officially confirming) etc. |

I love risk and experiments 'cause why not? Quite a nice team you guess! But I'm gonna say that you guessed only 3 riders .
Simon Yates is not riding Dauphine, so don't know how he is on those startlist. |
