The numbers 1-9 wont be used this year though, so Valverde will wear 11.
Actually Pereiro is going to wear 11 tomorrow. He should be wearing 1 though. It really irks me that they have taken this long to resolve the Landis case.
However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that no riders have been yanked from the start list at the last moment, as happened last year with Puerto. So hopefully these startlists are official and we can get this race underway. I can't wait! |

Its good, all the Brits (apart from Wegelius) are starting off really close together. Here's the British start times:
Charles Wegelius (GBr) Liquigas 16:51
Mark Cavendish (GBr) T-Mobile Team 17:46
Geraint Thomas (GBr) Barloworld 17:48
David Millar (GBr) Saunier Duval - Prodir 17:49
Bradley Wiggins (GBr) Cofidis - Le Crédit par Téléphone 17:55

It was on Cycling news, so I assume GMT. I can't get there, so I'll have to watch the highlights, but from the talk in my region, the crowds will be huge, it will be a great atmosphere, and London can take pride as the greatest sporting event in the world passes through its streets, and all the world marvels at the huge support. Not since winning the 2012 Olympics has London been so excited - the crowds will be bigger than those we see at the marathon.
And I won't be there

if it makes you feel better, this is an exaggeration
you get the Olympics anyway, so don't fret. you'll be at the Olympic road race
I'm a bit let down by timing too. the WTCC is racing on my home streets this weekend...and I won't get to see it live since the Tour is on (on TV I can at least watch both simultaneously)
