Chapeau breakaway. Chapeau Will Routley (OPM) for the victory after all that attacking over the climbs.

Peloton did screw the pooch in the end there a bit, over a minute behind the break of the day in the end.

If the ticker is correct, the break rode 60km/h for the last 30 minutes...no wonder there was no chance for the peloton with that kind of tailwind.

It's not often the pain of having to be out front all day every day for the KOM pays off with a stage win too. Great extra reward for Routley. |

Looks like from PCS he finished in the sprinters "group" and there was a 4 second split |

The results, or so I presume given they took a while to put them up on the Tour Tracker, are now official. Rohan Dennis and co did indeed lose four seconds to Bradley Wiggins due to a split in the peloton during the rush to the line of the sprinters.
Might be a few people annoyed at Cannondale's Edward King given he was the rider who did not cross the line quick enough after Moreno Hofland .

Wiggo, good on the flats. Training for Roubaix now has its benefits

Here's Terpstra's Strava data for the run in to stage 4 https://www.strava.com/activities/1412...3212813088
Wonder what the tailwind was?
