You know the field of sprinters is not that crash hot when you have Neo-Pro Adam Yates claiming seventh and Contador finishing sixth. To think Luka Mezgec was earlier saying he thought today's parcours would be too difficult for him.
Figures seem to vary, but I recall it being roughly 8% in gradient when the 2012 Vuelta a Espana visited Barcelona and Alt de Monjuïc in Stage 9. The stage won by Philippe Gilbert when, if I'm remembering correctly, he and Purito went on the offensive.
Going to depend on the race situation as to whether it will bring about any changes in the General Classification. In theory it could be possible to explode over the top of the climb and on to the stage victory, bonus seconds should be in play IIRC. Might call for a day of attrition racing however should Purito still be the race leader, given he shouldn't on paper have any issues following any one off Contador attack.
Cannondale is one of a lol Team when they are riding for Basso, they brought the breakaway back just to not try anything or place a rider in the top 10

Will Stage 7 bring any GC differences?
The Alt de Monjuïc is quite steep, isn't it?

I don't know whether or not it is steeper than 8%, but for me it surely seems to be in this video. Skip to the 1:10 mark and I think the climb starts there, and ends at 2:23 with the right hand turn, but I am not sure though.

Okay, if he wins another stage I'm gonna make such a motivation sheet myself.

My Short-Term Goal (next two months) is: To ride a long distance (more than 100k)
My Biggest 'Obstacle(s)' to reach this goal will be: finding the motavation to ride and the enduerance to go 100k
This is/are the main reason(s) why I will reach this goal: because I want to
by that logic I should do 200 km please Mezgec don't make it three
Damn'it Mezgec
Haha, I better go for a very unlikely scenario then. Something like... something like... You know what, s**** it, the chances of it are too big, and in cycling anything can happen!
