Not functioning here either.

About Vaughters, I did hear about that quote, but I've never seen the actual quote appearing anywhere. Might as well be made up.

It's basically Horner's level during Vuelta.

I'm quite a noob at this, but is it normal hematocrit first decreases and then suddenly rises again during a GT?

Retics and Hct look a bit suspect in my limited knowledge. I could be completely wrong though.

Did that motherfucker just knowingly admit to the world that his HcT rose while retics lowered and his off-score was over 100????????

Is he TRYING to get suspended?

It's been some years since I was really into this but it seems quite suspicious. I mean, in the span of sept. 3-14, his hgb and hct rise considerally without it showing much in his retics. His retics are only around 0,55% on the close of the Vuelta, nonetheless he gets quite a lot more red blood cells - that compared to pre-Vuelta when his retics numbers were 0,85%, from whereon he lost number of blood cells compared to the week after. That'd be blood doping.

And, of course, your hgb and hct just shouldn't rise during the Vuelta. So yeah, he was doping. Like we knew he was.
Never.

HcT and Hemoglobin (simple english: red blood cells quantity) goes down due to effort. Suddenly it went up. Blood bag.

At the same time, retics (young blood cells that aren't fully developed yet, meaning they were produced in the last few hours) went down. That's the body saying "WOW, way too much blood, must stop producing new ones now". Also blood bag indicator.

Off-score is the result of a formula calculation using other parameters. Large variation = either blood withdrawn or re-infused. +6 would be about the biggest variation you could consider normal. His varies by what? 16?

So this shows what we all knew right? The question is: how much time the fools at WADA to do something against it?

Okay, thanks!

Well, nothing we didn't know, I guess. At least he wasn't that stupid to use EPO. Just that stupid to use blood bags to win the Vuelta as an 80 year old Pfft

Yes, that too. There aren't enough retics in his body to explain the growth in haemoglobin or haematocrit later on. Blood bag evidence number 1

It all depends on the definition of normal but if we are talking on a actual human sense it would be very unlikely. I will hasten to add I am not a medical expert Wink

Looking at all the values, not just this Vuelta, he has a 40 point window of Off-Scores.
I'm sorry, is it April 1st somewhere? HOW IS THIS GUY NOT BANNED

I guess same reason why so many others are not banned.

UCI is just too damn good and pure Pfft

Lol that's incredible. Chapeau to the guy for releasing his bio-passport but seriously, this is much like when Armstrong and Rasmussen did it: Only points in one direction and it really seems, once again, most of all as a media stunt, a way to generate the argument of "I released my blood values, would I have done so if guilty?" - as anyone with a bit of an understanding of this can clearly see that the values are way off natural standards.
Never.

All the MCVs and a few of the Retic values are outside normal range. Then there's the patterns isso mentioned.

So, why in the hell doesn't he get banned?

You have to hand it to Horner, he has been getting away with it for some time and just wants to show how easy it is to get away with it when so blatantly cheating. Maybe he really digs Cookson and wants this to embarrass McQauid Angry

No. USADA tough are looking dumbasses. They went all deep to uncover Armstrong with Horner involved btw and now this appears and they haven't even said nothing.
