Hot Wheels - Porsche | We're back!
The Rider
I thought May was going to be a quite month for the team, lets hope the team can really push themselves and maybe get a few top 10 placings. Wink

MrUfo87
The Rider: No, May isn't very quite, but I think that June will be. Wink

sutty68
Looking forward to seeing how the guys perform in California Smile

MrUfo87

It will be tough for those hot wheels!

The USA is the home of hot wheels??? I thought they were made in China! Pfft

MrUfo87
Miguel98: That will be tough this year, but for sure we'll go for it. I think it's more realistic in the USA Pro Cycling at the end of the season or maybe next year. Wink

The Rider: Everything is made in China, except for stuff with 'China' on it. They are made in Indonesia. Pfft But Hot-Wheels is still an American company. Wink

Tour de Picardie – Stage 1

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/Stage1_zpsf7c809a0.jpg

The first stage of the Tour de Picardie. Because there’s a big race in the United States starting soon, we don’t have the best squad over here. Our main leader is Ian Watson. We think, and hope, that he’ll be able to do something as in the Ronde van Drenthe. The stages are almost the same, but there are no cobbles here. And now, the race. It took a really long while to get a breakaway. First there was a breakaway with seventeen riders, but the peloton caught them. After that, Watson attacked.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%201/PCM0600_zps81522735.jpg

First it looked that he should be alone, but there was a rider from Rapha who joined him, House, a former British champion. Watson won the first intermediate sprint.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%201/PCM0599_zps234e1b25.jpg

He also won the second and third mountain sprint. He didn’t got any points at the first one, because we crossed that sprint while the peloton was chasing the seventeen riders breakaway. Watson was second at both intermediate sprint, and he was also second at the last mountain sprint. That means that he’ll wear the first mountain jersey of this Tour of Picardie. Too bad, the peloton caught the breakaway, so we got a mass sprint.

Good old Rebellin won the sprint which ended uphill. He’s the first leader here in France. Watson took both mountain en youth jersey. Because of the bonifications he’s currently third in the general classification! That’s good news, but now we have to attack with another rider. But if Watson could keep this position it would be a great result for the team.

Today’s winner

The Rider
A great start for the team here, maybe if the American gets into the break again he might wear the leader's jersey thanks to bonuses? Wink

Miguel98
A Banana for the good start. Grin

MrUfo87
The Rider: I don't know if the peloton will give him the chance so we'll see if it's possible. A high classification must be at least possible here.

Miguel98: Thanks for the Banana! Grin

Tour de Picardie – Stage 2

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/Stage2_zps225bd78c.jpg

The second stage of the Tour de Picardie has same opportunities for us as the first stage. After seven kilometres there was a mountain sprint, so Watson, who started at the front of the peloton, attacked.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%202/PCM0602_zpsa8d10398.jpg

And he took five points! He currently has eighteen points and he can win the mountain jersey today. There are only two mountain sprints so there are ten points still to take. But the strange part was that the peloton didn’t chased Watson, although he’s third in the general classification. So we decided to get him into the breakaway.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%202/PCM0603_zps14e27963.jpg

All fourteen riders want to win the intermediate sprints. This is of the second one, where Watson took the first place. He wasn’t able to win the first and third intermediate sprint. At the last sprint of the day, the mountain sprint, suddenly everyone seems interested in the mountain points. Watson didn’t get any points there, but with a seven points lead he has won the mountain jersey! The peloton caught the breakaway, but there were still two riders in front who attacked out of the breakaway. It took a long while for the peloton to catch them, but they did it at three kilometres before the finish. Sobczyk tried to attack with four kilometres to go, but although it was looking good he was caught 1,5 kilometres before the finish. Probably he had a bigger chance when he attacked one kilometre earlier, but we don’t know that.

Radochla from Euskaltel was the fastest man in the sprint today. He’s also the new leader here in France. Our team had a great day with the win in the mountain jersey, wearing the youth jersey and also a third place at “0 with Watson. Hopefully we can show something great tomorrow as we’re doing very good here.

That deserves a banana! :Banana

sutty68
Great to see Watson wearing two jerseys Smile

MrUfo87
The Rider: It surprised me as well. Smile Thanks for the banana! Smile

sutty68: Yes, and he has already won one of them is we're doing well here. Smile

Tour de Picardie – Stage 3

Stage Preview

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Koersen/Stage3_zps0a772398.jpg

The last stage of the Tour de Picardie. We’re currently third with Watson in the general classification and we hope to keep that. And we’ll be in the breakaway, but this time without Watson. Hill tried it, but finally it was Webb who got in there.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%203/PCM0610_zps5e971011.jpg

We had a breakaway of thirteen riders. Webb was ‘only one of them’, as he wasn’t able to do something in the intermediate sprint. Although some of the riders attacked in the last kilometres, the peloton caught them and a mass sprint was coming up.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%203/PCM0611_zpse44f8004.jpg

Or not? A big fall of many riders meant that only thirty-seven riders were able to sprint. Four of our riders fell too, but happily they didn’t got any injuries, what not every rider could say.

i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q650/Jussie4/Tour%20de%20Picardie%20Stage%203/PCM0612_zps025552b2.jpg

Van Staeyen won the stage in front of Eeckhout. Now there were five riders with the same time in the general classification and of course Watson ended fifth at “0. Too bad, but still a good result. I already knew we should be able to do here well, so we did. Watson lost the youth jersey in this final stage (with “0), but he won the mountain jersey which is a good result.

The Rider
Nice new screens and a big crash there, I'm surprised the Hot Wheels guys aren't injured!

A great GC placing, a shame he couldn't get any more bonuses, but a great result. Wink

MrUfo87
The Rider: Thanks! Why are you surprised? We don't fall that many times... Wink Yes, it's a good result. I already expected it a bit because the race really looks like the Ronde van Drenthe were Watson won. Too bad he couldn't do that again here, but we were doing well here.

sutty68
Great overall result for Watson Grin

Hope the guys are all ok after the carnage Wink

MrUfo87
sutty68: Yes. Smile Too bad it's only fifth while we had the same time as the winner, but still a good result. Smile Yeah, at least our guys are okay. Wink
