dude seriously stop being so patriotic
when we look to last year, ive seen albert begin better in the mud
when you look at the classifications in U23. then Boom was far from better then Albert.
you make it sound like boom is superman. so i wonder do you even follow cyclocross? or are you just routing for boom?
your being patriotic here, claiming albert is a mud man, when he clearly isn't, even says so himself, he's more a guy for sand and technical crosses. When it's muddy, you need power, like Boom, to plough through it. I do follow every cyclocross, and I believe your completely wrong. |

I believe you should believe Ruben.

mud --> power (stampen) --> Boom.
look at Treviso. ok, that wasnt real mud, but it needed power (the so called Boom-strook) |

Treviso - long uphill staights - power needed
Mud- power needed
Sand - power needed
Stybar says he does not have power as Wellens or Nys have and due to this he isn't good in mud races, but he was second in Treviso. I'm not sure where the truth about Stybar is.
Only thing I'm sure is that Boom has the (mega-extra-super) power (so does Eising), so he is good on mud and he won in Treviso. |

i not even favouriting Albert.
im more of a S. vanthourenhout guy. because he lives close to my house.
i agree with mu = stampen = power.
but what also counts is mud = technique.
depending on the course the one or the other is different.
look at the BK 2 years ago. and the BK last year. both muddy courses.
but 2 years ago it had rained for days and it changed the race in an WOI battlefield. leading to the victory of wellens.
last year there was also mud . but the day itself it remained dry causing it to be a more technical course
dudes believe me ive done cyclocross myself. its a different way of racing.
i sucked at the heavy mud. but i was better at the ordinary mud....
i'm speaking from experience...

So you rode a cross yourself means your right? Then why is that nearly every 'expert' i know about it agrees with me and not you?
Man, even the commentators on tv, Boom and Albert themselves, nearly everyone I meet on other cycling boards think Boom is stronger in muddy races (the more mud the better). It even said so in wielerrevue this month in an interview with Boom.
Sorry, I'm the first to admit when I'm wrong, but here, you are way off |

that's because they are all dutch....
i know,i hate it too when some belgian commentators say that devolder can win the TFF. or the time that Boonen became WC. they started shouting trough the tv. me and my dad had something of" WTF!?" but the results don't lie...
look at the competitions the last year. you pointed out 3 crosses so far whiel there many more during the season. Taking into account what valor said. what if Boom aimed at those races?
i'm just saying , you say without doubt Boom is stronger then albert. and you have given 3 results. 3 races of last year when there many more races he participated in. i don't see it like that. and as i pointed out before , there are 2 sorts of muddy races. the heavy mud i agree, boom is better but on the second , albert is better.(in my eyes)
i know boom is strong. and i firmly believe he being as strong as Nys and albert. but making him into a superman is a bit over the top i believe.

And I think Boom and Albert are almost on same level. Their results depend just on their shape. You can't compare their results from beloften and juniros, that's completely different from racing in elite. Who is the better one will be decided in muddy races in November. At least I hope so... |

As there were first temperatures below °C10 in Czech rep, the first wave of flu and fevers have come. The first victims are: I and Martin BÃna. |

And you clearly didn't read either Stijn. I never said Boom was better than Albert or a superman. I just said he is stronger on muddy crosses, just like Albert is stronger at tecnical and sand crosses.
So, it seems you completely missed the point as well and turned it into something you made up yourself? |

Are you watching now Stijn?
Technical part downhill: Albert takes time.
Mud part on the flat near the finish, Boom comes back strongly.
(albert will do better here, technical downhill and form is better)

Still watching Stijn? Boom riding much faster than Nys and Albert in the mud...and riding away with Nys.
So. I think you should change opinion.
Herijgers: "Nys should not wait till this (very muddy flat stroke) part, because Boom is clearly the strongest here".

i won't denie that boom was way better today.
but albert made several mistakes. ( wrong clicks in the pedal/falls/ wrong how do you say this in english 'vitesse'.
and now your completly basing your theory on 4 races....
i'm always basing myslef on current result.
by the way did ever mention that Boom WAS better then Albert?
i said the following.
Boom in Heavy mud specialist ( like the last field part)
Albert in a light mud/sand specialist ( like the piece in the beginning)

Not only that, it's just common sense, everyone but you says Boom is stronger in the mud. He simply has more pure power...
You saw it again with Nys today (he IS in super form).
You just don't want to admit your wrong.
