I don't understand a single word of this Katusha story. If the are not allowed be a WT team because of ethical reasons, why should the be allowed to ProConti Team? Is it OK to have less ethics there? And why should they get wild cards for the big races if the are not allowed to race them in the first place.
Somebody please get rid of UCI and its corrupt board.
I am all in for a partial end of the world tommorow: End to corruption, idiocy and doping. |

Ballan breaks his femur and a couple of ribs after a crash during a training ride. He can already forget about the spring classics.

And he punctured a lung as well. There goes his season. |

What is it with cyclists and training ride crashes lately?

It should be drivers don't respect cyclists, not people ( as people are also cyclists )
While mainly true, in this case this has nothing to do with his crash though.
Anyway, very unlucky for him. The punctured lug and broken rib aren't too bad, but the broken leg sets him off for a long break, at best he might return around August time I would guess.

That's so unforunate for Ballan. He'll miss more than half the season. Though when he returns, he'll have the advantage of a better fitness! |

There isn't much for him late in the season though apart from domestique duties. A real shame.
I wonder if Van Avermaet will take over leadership duties on the cobbles now. I can't think who else will.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Galimzyanov has been suspended for 2 years, starting retroactively on 13 April 2012.

Hushovd isn't happy with your comment.

Yes, neither is Daniel Oss. |

Hushovd for Roubaix, maybe, but other than that I just think Van Avermaet is better at it:
4th Ronde - Hushovd 55th
26th E3 - Hushovd DNF
27th Gent-Wevelgem - Hushovd 48th
Now I get that Hushovd was ill, but add in the fact that he is getting old whereas Van Avermaet is really starting to come into his own, I think they would be stupid not to ride for Van Avermaet.

I agree with Count here ,actually Van Avermaet is pretty pissed by not getting his own chances for two years now, right?
I think this is the right time to bet on him and give him the leader role. When supported by Oss and Hushovd, he can break into the classics podium imo.

Nissan pulls out of cycling.
No reason given yet. Beleived it will be related to drugs and Frank Schleck.
