I have absolutely nothing against Chelsea or for City, but the only way I could've enjoyed the game more would be if Terry had been sent off and Bridge had scored
I love how Terry put his hand out and just got ignored.

He wasn't challenging Ramsey. It wasn't like Ramsey HAD the ball under his control. They both went for it. Shawcross to clear it, Ramsey to dribble with it. I didn't like it, and I support Arsenal, but again, I don't think it's a matter to swear about.
Agreed. Had initially decided not to watch it, but eventually got too curious due to the ongoing discussion.
I don't see why anyone blame Shawcross for what happened - nor do I see the comparison to what happened to Eduardo.
The ball is 'free', they both go for it, Ramsey's just extremely unlucky.

I mean the way it happened. Yes, they both broke their legs in a football match, but other than that.
Mane players break legs playing football. Not very regularly do they break both the fibia and the tibia, causing a his leg to go on a right angle. And somehow, 3 serious leg breaks have happened to Arsenal in less than 4 years (Diaby, Eduardo, Ramsey, of which the latter 2 both broke both the fibia and the tibia) which is obviously product of the "Kick Arsenal, they don't like it" mentality, that the media obviously talk about over and over (well, that's what I see on my 'paper round).
Also, the people saying "Shawcross is not that kind of player", in his career (he's only 22) he's broken 2 legs, an ankle slid in from behind on Adebayor last year while Adebayor was off the pitch, the ball too was off the pitch.
And obviously Shawcross didn't go out to break his leg. He's not a psychopath (Roy Keane style), but he didn't think going into that.

I absolutely hate it when Arsenal fans keep on saying that.
When teams who will be totally outclassed by Arsenal in terms of playing a "beautiful game" turn up to play Arsenal, they know that being more physical is the only way to disrupt their beautiful passing play.
It's not "let's go kick them". It's simply tring to disrupt Arsenal's play. I'm fairly sure no manager tells his team - "right, we can't play better football than them, but let's try and scythe through them so eventually they'll have too few players to finish the match!"

No, but that doesn't mean they don't say "rough them up a bit, collect a couple of yellow cards early on and make sure that they stop going for the 50-50 balls" Watch Arsenal-Bolton from a few years ago and you can see this being done, and it works, so other managers try it.

And if they overstep the limit, that's where mr ref comes in. But just because they've challenged "hard" does not mean they've broken the laws of the game or gone in with intention to cause injury
What Arsenal fans complain about is that teams go in hard solely to injure the players. It's not - it's to break up play, to upset Arsenal's rhythm - NOT to injure them
Yes it was a "poor" tackle but as a Gooner I don't think Shawcross wanted to "do him", you just have to look at his reaction when he was leaving the pitch. Also if you look at pictures/footage of it you'll see that Ramsey's foot wasn't flat on the floor it was at an angle(If you put your foot so it's resting on the outside of the foot) which probably made the contact more damaging for him although if his foot was on the ground it may still have resulted in a busted leg but maybe not 6 fractures.
As for people saying Arsenal are kicked out of games against "lesser" teams that's not true, yes some teams play "harder" against us but that's just sport, most of Arsenal's problems stem from their own errors like not being able to defend properly, the goal Stoke scored yesterday would never have happened in the Adams/Bould days, that's why Arsenal need to sign a 6 foot+ centre back and a midfield enforcer oh and a keeper cos ours suck! But yes Arsenal are still in the hunt and aside from games against the Spuds and Dubai City our run-in on paper is a good one.

I've just watched the replay, and I've got to say that is the second worse non-fatal sports injury I've ever seen (if you want to see Joe Theismann's leg being snapped in half, be my guest), although I've heard of two that I haven't been able to find video for (Edit: Make that one, I just found video of one of them, and it is fucking disgusting).
I don't think Shawcross is at fault for anything more than a reckless challenge. If Ramsey's injury hadn't occurred it probably wouldn't have been more than a yellow. When you consider Shawcross's reaction, I think that you really can't blame him for much. Hell, plenty of players make far more vicious tackles every week, just with not as horrible results.

It's physically impossible to break cleanly, either the fibia or tibia, without breaking the other one. It's both, or none. Simple as.
A fracture, of the hairline variety, can, of course occur. This is also referred to as a break, but is of no way the same event. And you're likely to see the player back on the pitch the same season.
Wigan 1 - 0 Liverpool. Oh dear. I really fear that even if 7th place in the league turns into a qualification spot for the Europa League, Liverpool won't make it. Everton, who are flying right now, and perhaps even Birmingham might finish ahead.
Last season in the league: 2 losses. This season in the league: 9 losses

Although with the growing number of names on the Spurs injury list, I'm doubtful for the top 4.

It's difficult to see who is the most likely, but I'd probably go for Spurs. Man City are in the best position probably, but are so unconvincing away from home. But then Aston Villa...its going to be tight that's for sure.
