Meh, who cares? Better on sunday, that way I'm 99% sure I won't miss it. Not that I'd miss MSR anyway.

Not sure if it's the best preperation for Gilbert and Ballan |

Well Ballan raced TDU this year, and had a great classic season so I'd say it's not that bad
It doesn't really matter. You either use TDU to prepare or the Qatar / Oman for the Classics. Both do the job.
Gilbert is more likely to score some points at TdU so it's a right choice I'd say. However I wouldn't expect much. Gerrans peaked at TDU - MSR and was nowhere near in Ardennes Classics, so Gilbert will peak differently ( obviously )

Here's Cavendish new sprint tactic for next season in case he's up against Ferrari.

I think he'll use it to sprint faster, just fire that backwards and you're flying through the air |

Hilarious
also the BBC wrote a bad article about Vos being the greatest female cyclist ever. Now while that is probably true, the bits about the olympics were shocking. And they still don know who Vinokourov is

So I was thinking, next year's tour is going to have completely different protagonists than this year (assuming they're all in form.), because Nibali, Wiggins and Sanchez are doing the Tour. Without them (excluding Sanchez because of his abandon, but he could have made an impact had he not crashed) this year's tour would have been between Froome, Evans and VDB. So, 3 big names missing.

Actually, it would have been more like Froome >>> everyone else
Evans was hardly at his best - and far from the victory, while VDB clearly couldn't do much more than just stay with Wiggins / Froome / Nibali.
Also - Sanchez didn't look fit to me. Doubt he would've even been on the podium. Wasn't he injured just before the Tour?
