As you see, still no update. Even though the next race is a prologue, I have not yet found the time. Tomorrow will be even busier, but Wednesday I might have the day off.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. I'm able to do a report right now since I quit school today. |

Paris - Nice 2013 - Stage 1
I've had better days. Then again, I've had worse days as well.
- Roberto Velásquez, 04/03/2013 -
A very important event in Roberto's career. although he's already won (dominated is a better word) his first Grand Tour, racing in France was still considered as much more prestige in those days. This Paris - Nice would tell the people how he would do at Tour de France, albeit not in 2013, since he didn't race it that year.
He started fast, maybe a bit too fast. Contador had been out for revenge every since the Vuelta and GP di Lombardia 2012 and he had been competing against Roberto in minor races at the start of the year. Now he planned on continuing this, as he was the biggest favorite of that that year's Paris - Nice, a new battle between Contador and Roberto!

Not really good prologue, but as you said yourself it's mediocre. Think you can get a stage win! |

I quit film school, the mentality is just not right for me, just a bunch of big ego's, trying to prove themselves constantly. Not an environment I'm happy in.

I might start in February (second term) with an education to become a teacher. Work guaranteed and I think it's very rewarding work. Plus the holidays are nice for playing PCM |

Paris - Nice 2013 - Stage 2
Better!
- Roberto Velásquez, 04/03/2013 -
Still looking for the first of the season, Roberto had marked this race on his calendar..
The race remained calm until F. Schleck decided to act. Roberto was right on him. This was the first year that the Schleck brothers were separated, and the start of the better parts for both their careers because of it.
Roberto and Schleck had a friendly chat during the breakaway. It was actually the start of a nice friendship. They remained competitors, but Schleck and Roberto met quite frequently outside the cycling season to train together in Spain.
They were caught and on the final ascending road, Roberto sped towards the finish with a gear so high that no one could follow the pace.
His first of 2013 was his first in a French WT race! Unfortunately for him, there were no time bonusses. Contador, who had remained calm that day, was still far ahead of him.
