Stage 15: 174.4km Mountain top finish.
Excellent: All riders.
BA plan: Best described by one of the sprinters “Movistar, Sky and British Airways all looking serious. This is going to hurt”
Chaves covers Pinot, Fleeman covers Kennaugh. Water carrier shared around.
Breakaway: R Bardet (ALM), M Nieve (SKY), R Kiserlovski (TFR), D Nerz (BMC)
85 km: Jungels falls.
33km: Jungels falls again.
On penultimate ascent, elite group of Froome, Quintana, Valverde, Kennaugh formed.
Pinot goes big, after a Kennaugh drive, attacks with 11km to go.
Big stage win for Pinot taking 1 min 16 out of Froome, over 2 and a half minutes out of Quintana.
Stage Winner: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Red Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Points Jersey: Marcel Kittel (ARG) | Mountain Jersey: Romain Bardet (ALM) | Young Riders Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Team award: Movistar |

Was cool, drove behind Kennaugh and they didn't follow. Then it was just go for it and hang on.
[Looks like my mate Dave has been following this too, sounds like Sky are signing Pinot in Real life.]

Stage 16: 193.8km Mountain top finish.
Very Good: Pinot, Kennaugh.
Average: Brownlee.
Good: Others.
BA plan: Although we took a lot of time in the last stage it really hurt us. We have to hope that the other teams are hurting too. Rest day tomorrow, then two flats stages. So going to try and bluff it, by putting some of our riders on the front but keeping the pace slow until the end. Then hope Pinot doesn’t lose too much. The time gap we have means we can ride defensively and just need to watch Froome. I think we have second (assuming Pinot stays on his bike) maybe even a win.
Chaves covers Pinot, Fleeman covers Kennaugh. Water carrier shared around.
Breakaway: T de Gendt (OPQ), J Hernadez (SAX), F Mourey (FDJ), M Nieve (SKY), F Aru (AST), C Riblon (ALM), A Cardoso (GRS), G Caruso (KAT), I Izaguirre (MOV).
26km to go, Froome attacks on the decent, he has a minute on Pinot who has 25 seconds on Quintana and Valverde.
With 4.2 km to go, Pinot has caught Froome. And Pinot just sits on.
With 1km the slowest sprint in history starts on the steep ramp. Pinot beats Froome by 16 seconds.
Stage Winner: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Red Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Points Jersey: Marcel Kittel (ARG) | Mountain Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Young Riders Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Team award: Movistar |

Rest Day:
Recover.
5 stages left. 1xMountain TT, 2x flat, 1 mountain with descent to finish, 1 x TT.
With two time trials and a mountainous stage with a descent to the finish Froome should do well, but is the 3 minute gap enough?

Come on, Pinot you can do this

Stage 17: 29.6km Mountain TT.
Very Good: Pinot.
Good: Kennaugh, Gallopin, Wilson, Jungels.
Average: Bibby, Chaves, Fleeman.
Bad: Brownlee.
BA Plan: Go as fast as we can. Try to lose less than 1 minute to Froome.
Not a lot of subtlety in a mountain TT.
Froome finishes in a time of 56 min 14 seconds. 35 seconds ahead of Quintana and almost 2 minutes ahead of Valverde.
Pinot finishes in a time of 55 minutes and 46 seconds, beating Froome to the delight of Gaffeff.
Stage Winner: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Red Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Points Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Mountain Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Young Riders Jersey: Thibaut Pinot (BAY) | Team award: Movistar |

I think we've got a multiple grand tour winner on our hands. Now can we afford to keep him? His contract is up for renewal after the 2015 season.

Stage 18: 185.9 km Flat
Very Good: Pinot, Kennaugh.
Good: Wilson, Jungels, Gallopin.
Average: Brownlee, Bibby, Chaves, Fleeman.
BA plan: Just avoid any loss of time. Give the climbers a rest.
Jungels covers Pinot, Gallopin covers Kennaugh. Wilson carries the water.
Breakaway: R Nocentini (ALM), L Westra (AST), F Mourey (FDJ), L Paolini (KAT), J Acevedo (GRS)
Breakaway has a 16 minute gap with 60 km to go. The winner is going to be out of the breakaway.
Westra takes the stage from out of the breakaway.
Pinot loses no time and has a quiet day.

Stage 19: 162.4 km Flat
Excellent: Pinot, Kennaugh, Gallopin, Wilson.
Very Good: Jungels, Bibby, Chaves
Good: Fleeman, Brownlee.
BA plan: Just avoid any loss of time. Give the climbers a rest.
Jungels covers Pinot, Gallopin covers Kennaugh. Wilson carries the water until the crash, then Bibby.
Breakaway: P Fedrigo (FDJ), D Millar (GRS), M Moser (CAN), M Schar (BMC)
109.5 km Wilson Crashed.
Lotto Belisol, Orica Greenedge, Omega Pharma and Argos Shimano all start pulling back the breakaway. They won’t make the same mistake they did yesterday.
With 10 km to go, British Airways sudden notice that Froome is no longer in the Peleton, he's 30 seconds up the road. [Yes I missed it, didn’t expect him to attack on the flat].
Jungels and Gallopin put the hammer done. Then Kennaugh leads out Pinot. In the end Pinot beats Froome.
Moser wins the stage. Pinot loses no time.

Stage 20: 137.7 km Mountains (Descent to finish)
Excellent: Pinot, Kennaugh, Gallopin, Wilson, Chaves
Very Good: Jungels, Bibby, Fleeman
Good: Brownlee.
BA plan: Mainly don’t fall off. Just watch Froome on the climb. Nearly there.
Chaves covers Pinot, Gallopin covers Kennaugh. Water shared round. We’ll be doing all the pacing work today.
Breakaway: C Riblon (ALM), J Acevedo (GRS), D Nerz (BMC), R Kiserlovski (TFR)
Peleton of 74 going over the penultimate climb, with 8 British Airways riders remaining.
Froome and Valverde joins forces to attack over the top, Pinot tries to go with them but the gap opens up on the descent.
A large crash on the descent, a British Airways rider is down… It’s Pete Kennaugh. 6 riders down including Kennaugh and Kwiakowski. Kwiakowski abandoned. Kennaugh has lost time but is able to continue the stage.
Froome and Valverde catch up with the breakaway on the descent.
Working together they extend the gap to 45 seconds. Froome goes with a couple of kilometres to go, but can’t shake Valverde. Valverde beats Froome in the final sprint.
Pinot loses just over a minute to Valverde and Froome but that should be enough with only the TT tomorrow.
Kennaugh after his crash drops back to 15th. He will be assessed overnight.

Stage 21: 32.6 km Individual TT
Excellent: Pinot, Kennaugh
Very Good: Gallopin, Chaves
Good: Others.
BA plan: Finish within 3 minutes of Froome. Simple?
At the 1st time check.
Froome leads the favourites by 8 seconds ahead of Pinot. Valverde 28 seconds back ahead of his teammate Quintana who is 40 seconds back.
The current stage leader Vasil Kiryienka was 28 seconds behind at this point.
2nd timecheck.
Froome comes through 38 seconds ahead of the current stage leader Thomas De Gendt. Pinot is 14 seconds behind. Valverde 54 seconds back and Quintana 1 minute 19 seconds back.
Just 10 km to go for Pinot and his debut Grand Tour win.
3rd and final timecheck.
Froome nearly catches Quintana for a stunning performance, he has probably won the stage. Pinot is struggling, he can’t lose it from here can he?
Froome finishes in a time of 42 minutes 16 seconds. Valverde next of the favourites 1 minute 9 seconds down, Pinot really hit the wall at the end finishing 1 minute 36 seconds down, Quintana 1 minute 48 seconds down.
Now I know why I wanted that lead, but Pinot wins the Vuelta!
Happy with Kennaugh's 14th. He had to support Pinot to the detriment of his own race at least twice and he lost time when he crashed too. A top 10 would have been entirety reasonable.
Sorry, got carried away and forgot to take the screenshot!

[Thanks Schleck Fan and 547984. Looking forward to the Tour de France next year.
Last race of this year will be the redone Tour of Britain. I’m redoing this as in career mode it was a bit daft. We won every stage and the overall. Hopefully it’ll be harder fought this time round.]

2014 Tour of Britain British Airways - Welcome to Yorkshire squad.
Adam Blythe
Jonathan Brownlee
Sebastian Langeveld
Phillip Lavery
Daniel Lloyd
Thomas Murray
Taylor Phinney
Diego Ulissi
Objective is Top 3. Not sure if it'll be Ulissi or Phinney that we'll use for that. Probably Ulissi, but we'll keep Phinney as an option.

Stage 1: 199.8 km Flat
BA plan: Not sure whether Phinney or Ulissi is team leader. See if we can get Blythe near the front for the sprint.
Murray covers Blythe, Lloyd covers Ulissi. Water shared round
Breakaway: L Grivell-Millor (RCJ), O Doull (SKT), M Holmes (RAL), M Jones (IGS)
Cannondale, Sky and British Airways bring back the breakaway.
Sprint train formed. Cannondale and British Airways. Other sprinters just hang on.
Blythe gets a great lead out from Murray and takes the win confortably.
