Bos ran into Renshaws wheel but that was also caused by Delage. His manaouvre in the corner caused Bos to lose balance in the first place |

Wasn't a nasty crash to me, just a mistake by one rider (Theo Bos), hitting the backwheel of his teammate a pretty low speed. It's part of the game in a mass sprint.....
Great ride by Sky and especially Thomas, bringing back Cav to the front.

Watch the FDJ rider (Delage) closely in the replay. He touched Bos a little or at least came up very close causing Bos to lose balance and hit Renshaws wheel as a result |

Goss said that was the fastest he ever went through a corner, so I think it's harsh to blame Bos for that.

Hmm... Serpa was involved in that crash today, and is in danger of abandoning the Giro with an injury in his hand. |

Wonder when the curse of the rainbow jersey is going to hit Cav?
Pleased to see Basso looking so good. Stayed on his bike OK at Trentino, was in no real difficulty at Trentino and now peaking like a true 90/00's riders at the big one of the season.
Read that comment as you may - but I prefer to see these kind of riders. No real fun seeing Contador, Valverde, Evans (and now Wiggins) winning all season long. The 'smaller' races are more interesting when the GT riders come and peak at the GTs.

Nah...that wasn't the curse. That was just good team tactics.
He'll never win MSR again and probably deep down doesn't expect to. |

I reckon he'll talk up his chances for the next couple of years, and fail miserably. Then he'll go quiet, people will forget, and he will pop up to surprise everyone.

The curse is just letting Cavendish have a good start. It will strike in the Tour and force him out of the Olympics, thus ruining his two main goals of the year!

If thats the competition then Cavendish will win every sprint he contests in this giro.
He's not even fully fit and he made Goss, possibly the second best sprinter in the world, look very average.
Goss second best sprinter in the world? Well we live in different worlds maybe, as he had 6 wins last year and not a single mass sprint win this year
Easy win for Cavendish with the great Thomas lead-out and the crash, probably not the last one.
I hope all the riders are okay, now to survive another stage in Denmark. Astana clever enough to slip to the back of the peloton right before the sprint (according the words of Kreuziger) and they avoided the fall thanks to that.

Tyler for the win today hopefully. I'm a Cav fan, but no better way to honour Wouter than for Tyler to win. |

Going quiet doesn't work when Eurosport mentions him every second sentence.

94 Navardauskas (LIT, GRM) +22
217 Keizer (NED, VCD) +39
196 Hollenstein (ZWI, APP) +50
79 Balloni (ITA, FAR) +1:03
64 MÃnguez (SPA, EUS) +1:27
207 Christensen (DEN, SAX) +1:30
First attackers, probably the break of the day (3m20). Navardauskas can get to the top 5 in the GC if he wins the intermediate sprint. Surprising to see him here because of the upcoming TTT.

Was amazing moment at the start. So quiet. There was a lot (!) of people, but no one said anything for several minutes to honour Jan Trøjborg and Wouter Weylandt - just 100% silence. Amazing.
A lot of respect to Jan Trøjborg and Wouter Weylandt. I hope for Tyler Farrar today. |

Renshaw also said it was a very fast corner btw. He said "I was so suprised at the speed we were going through the final corner I had to brake hard."
Bos was in his wheel and probably couldn't correct it either |
