I wonder how the contract negotiations happens between the Schlecks and another team. I tend to make this up in my head:
Astana - "Hey Andy, we would really love to have you onboard for our team. We would be able to justify your requirements by having a really strong line of helpers such as Roman Kreuziger, Alexandre Vinokourov, Robert Kiserlovski, Janez Brajkovic, Frederik Kessiakoff, Kevin Seeldrayers oh and I forgot. We are trying to get Nibali as well, he should be your main helper. I think we could win the tour with that!"
A. Schleck - "Man that sounds sweet. I would require something like 1,5m euros pr. year though. And some bonusses obviously."
Astana - "No problem. That sounds fair for a rider we are confident in. Let's look at the papers."
A. Schleck - "Oh, of course you have to sign my brother Fränk aswell. I can't live without him, and I can't perform without him (Can't perform with him either *Chuckles*)."
Astana - "Ehm... That is not normal procedure. We tend to contact the riders we want, not to sign riders that rider want. But just for the record. Who is he, and what can he do?"
A. Schleck - "Well basically he can do all the same stuff I can".
Astana - "Interesting, continue..."
A. Schleck - "All the same stuff, but worse.
Astana - "How much worse?"
A. Schleck - "Ahh, not too much. But he do crashes as lot. And whine about other contestants."
Astana - "He'll fit in just fine with Vinokourov then"
A. Schleck - "Great. I'll let him know straight away."
Astana - "Just for the record. This brother of yours, who is worse than you in everything, throws random tantras, and crashes a lot. He sounds a bit inexperienced. So how much would he cost, and how old is he? He does sound talented though"
A. Schleck - "He costs the same as me, and is 5 years older"

It was said maybe a hundred times in the race threads, that Froome should be possible GT leader for Sky in the next years and Wiggins will be fine to help him, return the favours...Alakagom said it too and as he is right usually with things around Sky and it sound logical, i think Froome will lead the team next years, if he will not become shite rider he was again.
This is right, but how would you feel when you can a deserve to win a tour (and a vuelta don't forget abou last year), and you have to slow down because your leader can keep up your pace? don't forget that froome lost about 1.50'' in first stage cause a puncture and no one helped him! without that he would have been only 30'' behind WIggins, and Froome have been stronger than him on the climbs since he had to wait for him atleast 3 times! Yesterday he could have won the stage if only Wiggins had told him to go! In my opinion Sky had and has a very ungrateful attitide towards Froome and i watched his interviews he's not quite happy about his situation at this time and maybe if someone, Liquigas for example, would call him he would think about leaving Sky, but that's only an opinion
i completly understand and i am also not happy that the clearly strongest cyclist has to wait for Mr.Sideburns, but in the end it is only the job,as the other jobs. I have many dumb people and those who cannot do their work properly in higher positions than me, but why? Because company director said that and he is the boss who pays me....if i start jumping around and telling about unjustice, i would be fired

Ok that' also true, but if you konw that a lot of other companies would hire you, maybe they will not pay you a lot more, but you can achieve everything you've ever wanted in your life and that's a fair chance that you will not accomplish it with you current work, what would you do?

It is normal that riders request other riders. I am sure Contador does it. It is even in the game.
And I am pretty sure that every person on this planet knows that these brothers will stay together always.
Therefore I rather laugh at Astana for even trying.

That's how a random post on a random forum can lead to news stories
No way I would ever have stumbled upon it by myself.
However, judging by the Google translation, it does sound like that Popovych is just summing up the rumours about riders leaving the team. However, I'm hoping/guessing the Ukrainian who posted the link knows better
He said, that many rumours about Radioshack riders and Schlecks, but only Fuglsang signed with SaxoBank at this moment

Yeah, that is kinda of spectable. Cav wants a team fully dedicated tp him instead of him working in mountain and not have a chance to win.
Here you can see how one dimensional rider he is
But he is still the fastest of all and OPQS would be the good move with many great flat riders and their biggest GC rider maybe Kreuziger next year, there is room for sprint orientation.
Is there any big name rider that Quickstep doesn't try to sign?
On the Froome issue - he was well-aware of his situation when he renewed his contract with Sky after the Vuelta last year. He had lots of offers, he could easily have become the captain at several teams, yet he decided to stay with Sky, knowing he'd have to work for Wiggins.
There's absolutely no reason to feel bad for him. However, as a spectator, it is a shame to see the strongest rider miss out on both a Vuelta and a Tour victory. Can't be fun for him to know that either.
Quickstep says about cav :
He had a bad choise. If he will come with us, we will create good sprint trains. If he comes to us he will '5' again!
