I just remembered that he won the 3rd Giro stage last year..
Destiny is a bitch.. :/
Hoping all ends well for WW..

The Giro at it's best and worst today. A really great stage with lots of action, sadly the accident overshadows everything, and rightly so. I don't think you can blame the race directors for the descent here, everybody knows that these things happen and unfortunately today it did.
I wonder how Vicioso feels now. The greatest moment in his career, but sadly it will never be remembered, nor will he get to stand on the podium as the winner of a Giro-stage.
Hopefully he's okay, but there's no point in speculating, we'll know soon enough. |

Last news is that Weylandt can breath by himself. |

This is awful, normally I'm all excited at the end of stages. Today the only thing going through my head was Weylandt, those pictures... It's been a while since the last time images of a crash stunned me like this, last time was Casper's crash in Gent - Wevelgem a few years ago.
All I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best. |

So Kumazan says that he's alive, RAI says he's dead. |

No! Stupid commentators, they gave me hope. Rest in Peace...
Edit: Sorry for giving everyone false hope. The commentators we have to suffer in Spain are the biggest pain you can think of.

well sadly, it is the dilemma between a race with lot of action, suspense, ... and security.
People want drama, and then they get "real" drama, such as today, and this is really a shame
