Bad? What's bad about the by far better playing team winning?
They already lost undeservedly in the away match.
Look at the stats for crying out loud
passes 717-195; shots 19-0
Barca deserved to go through, the refs decisions made really no difference in that.
Barca plays better football. |

Of course Barcelona is stronger but Arsenal played extremely well before that stupid ref chose his team They have definetly been their best opposent since the begining of the season...
Team Europcar !!

I hate Barcelona. With a fucking burning passion. A burning passion that eats fucking babies. They're so brilliant, but the fans believe they are entitled to everything. When they don't have the ball, their fans get angry at an affront to football. It's bollocks.
They deserved to win, yes. They are the best team in the world, yes. The are abhorrent c*nts, yes. |

Count before the red card
OK then:
1st half:
Possession: Barcelona 76%, Arsenal 24%
Attempts at goal: Barcelona 8, Arsenal 0
If you think the red card affected the match that dramatically, you are very, very naive.
That red card changed absolutely nothing, Barcelona have been by far the best team throughout both legs, and deserved to win by far more

Read this. https://www.guardi...-interview
Then maybe you'll understand why the fans are like they are.
They love watching their team play fantastic football. When they don;t have the ball, they can't do this. So the fans try to put pressure on the opposition, in conjunction with the players (who play a high tempo pressing defence), so that they get the ball and play beautiful football.

I find it hilarious the number of Arsenal fans (especially on twitter and facebook) who seemed to be hiding behind the ref as the explanation as to why they lost. Yes, the ref made some terrible decisions, especially the van persie sending off, but Arsenal were completely outplayed, absolutely annihilated (a fact scantly reflected by the scoreline) . You don't have 0 attempts at a goal just because of some poor refereeing.

Arsenal played so unnaturally. The guys attempted to make a defense barrier ala Inter 2010, the players didn't looked convinced of that tactic or didn't know how to execute it. When you choose to defend against barca, you must have good focused defenders, Inter showed that...
And another thing, I can't believe they are 1 goal behind with 5 minutes to go and they don't send a bunch of people with goalkeeper included to Valde's box and burst them with long lobs for a header or something. At least die honorably, they had nothing to loose.

Spurs were lucky to find a Milan without Pirlo and Ambrosini in midfield and lucky also to the results... second half of San Siro Game and whole match of White Hart Lane were played in tottenham's half-side.

Ehm....did you watch first half at San Siro, and second half yesterday? To say that it was an one-side game is unfair....
Massive result for us, eventhough we didn't play ga great game. Now I'm definately looking forward to the quarterfinal, I won't complain if we get Schalke.
But most important will be the top4 spot in Premier League, but I'm afraid we will have problems there now, CL is taking too much energy, but it is great fun, being in the quartefinal |
