Stage 1 : Lloret de Mar CRI
The first stage is a short prologue about 5 kilometres.Rabon is in a good shape so he should take a good result there. The favorites Contador and Armstrong are ready to fight!!
Valverde was the first one on the road. His time was great,he only needs 6 minutes and 23 seconds,if this time will be the best in the end isn´t sure up to here
Rabon was the next one setting a good time but he can´t beat Valverde today,he lost 12 seconds to the Spaniard
After a long time without any good times it was up to Boasson Hagen. His shape is good but not fantastic as it seems. He´s 20 seconds behind Valverde and 8 seconds behind Rabon
The next Spaniard with Luis Leon Sanchez comes. It was really interesting seeing him today. In the end he takes a plausible 7th place with the same time like Rabon
Let´s see the first battle of Contador and Armstrong!Lance Armstrong was the first one who had to set a good time.I´m sure he wants to show Contador his old time trial strength today. But if this time is good enough for Contador? He´s 15 seconds behind Valverde, looks like Valverde was the first and the best!
Short time later Alberto Contador goes on the road!I could imagine he wants to show Armstrong the ropes.Maybe it´s not his best prologue performance but it´s faster than Armstrong´s.He becomes 4th in the end 10 seconds behind his country man Alejandro Valverde
There was only one rider left called Bradley Wiggins! He is known for his time trial ability. He shows us a good prologue with a great time but he also can´t beat Valverde´s time. He´s only 5 seconds slower and so he takes the second place

Stage 2 : Girona - Roses
The second stage is really interesting for sprinters and puncheurs. With two hills in the end we´re expecting a hard race for our sprinter Goss but maybe a few chances for Siutsou. The last hilly section with more than 20 kilometres to go should be a possility for moves
Tejay Van Garderen was in the break today and he could get 18 KoM points which means he will wear this jersey tomorrow
The race progress wasn´t that what we´re expected. There was no attack on the last uphill and downhill and so it was up to Siutsou to make a move with only 5 kilometres to go on a little ascent
Behind, there were only two real sprint trains with Euskatel and Katusha.Goss wasn´t there anymore like many other good sprinters. The favorites for the overall were all in this group with 88 riders
Siutsou is still in front with only 2 kilometres to go but Rodriguez comes really fast on the left side
Siutsou cannot keep it up with Rodriguez, his team-mate Kolobnev and Andy Schleck
Rodriguez is still in front while Andy Schleck,Boasson Hagen and Arvesen are behind him
But they couldn´t pass him!Joaquim Rodriguez was just the strongest today. He takes the stage in front of Andy Schleck and Arvesen.Siutsou becomes 18th in the end, well at least he tried it..

Stage 3 : Roses - La Pobla de Lillet
After the impressive sprint by Rodriguez yesterday we are going to see the first mountain battle between the favorites.Contador,Valverde and Armstrong should be the main favorites as they showed a good shape in the first two stages. Our team has no big goal today we hope that Siutsou can hang on as long as possible
I´m sorry but the game crashed again in the end so I couldn´t take any screenshots. It was an exciting stage with all favorites at the front. On the last climb with 10 kilometres to go Contador attacked first.Armstrong and Valverde went after him while behind the Schleck brothers,Wiggins and many more made a move.On the downhill they were all brought together to one group.Siutsou did a good job but he couldn´t keep it up with these great climbers. In the end there was a ´mass sprint´in the first group which was dominated by Valverde. He took the stage in front of Contador and Andy Schleck.

Stage 4 : La Pobla de Lillet - Vallnord Sector Pal
Welcome to the fourth stage in La Pobla de Lillet! It´s the queen stage of this years stage race in Spain. We´re probably going to see the decision in the overall between Contador,Valverde and Armstrong.Mabye another rider also can take part in this great final.Of course there are 3 stages left but they are all really flat!So this stage might be the last chance for moves.Especially the last climb with more than 15 kilometres long with a hard ascent should be interesting
There were some important names in today´s breakaway such as Oscar Freire or Danielson
On the last climb Igor Anton was the first one making a move while Danielson was still in front
Rodriguez, winner of stage 2, went after him
Leipheimer and Casar also couldn´t wait in the pack anymore
Next attack came from Lövkvist,I´m sure he wants to shine today after a bad prologue
Our leader Siutsou tried to go after Lövkvist but he couldn´t keep it up with all these riders
With more than 9 kilometres to go the battle began!Alberto Contador was first one of the big favorites making his move and as always this attack seems powerful and fast, maybe too fast for Armstrong and Valverde??
Well,it didn´t take long until the next moves. This time Contador´s main rival Valverde made his move. It´s gonna be a hard finish! But where is Lance Armstrong,is he already bushed??
Oh no!!He isn´t,there he comes with a fast move out of the pack.Well,Contador is far in front if he can reach him yet??
It´s just a move festival today! This time Andy Schleck,Cunego and Gesink start an attack with only 7 kilometres to go.By the way the escape Danielson is still in front of Contador
Last kilometre for the leading group with Contador,Armstrong and Valverde. It´s probably the dream group which is in front of Danielson who was caught with 3 kilometres to go.Looks like it will come to a sprint there and then again Valverde should be the favorite
The sprint begins and the first surprise is that Valverde couldn´t hang on!Contador is in front but Armstrong is fast and it seems that this one will be a very close finish
And that´s it!!Lance Armstrong beats Contador in a close sprint finish!Valverde becomes third before the group with Fränk Schleck and Igor Anton came to the finish.
Contador also becomes new leader of the tour! He´s 6 seconds in front of Valverde now and 13 seconds in front of Armstrong

Criterium International 2010,this will be our next race!We sent a really strong team-squad to France.Monfort is our team-captain with Bak as a great help on the second stage.Eisel and Renshaw are ready for the sprint in stage one.The third stage which is a short time trial should be really useful for Monfort and Bak;Grabsch also wants to improve his shape there as his main goal this year is the Tour and the World Championship(ITT).
But it won´t be easy because there are great contenders like Menchov,Larsson,Voigt and the World Champion Cadel Evans
Team Columbia for this race
Adam Hansen
Mark Renshaw
Maxime Monfort
Lars Ytting Bak
Bert Grabsch
Patrick Gretsch
Bernhard Eisel
Craig Lewis |

Stage 1 : Monthois - Charleville-Mezieres
The first stage is ,as I already said,a flat stage. We´re expecting a mass sprint where our team should be the favorite while other teams haven´t the greatest sprinter.Grillo and Pedersen are dangerous but Eisel and Renshaw should be better.Grabsch will lead them out before Renshaw will pull the sprint for Eisel ,who is just in the better shape
The game crashed again!!But the stage wasn´t really exciting so it´s not dramatically. As we expected there was a mass sprint where Grabsch did a great job leading our sprinters out in the perfect position.Renshaw began to sprint while Grillo could take Eisel´s slipstream. But Eisel had a great day and so he passed Renshaw easy and no one could hang on.In the end Grillo takes the second place while Renshaw becomes 3rd!!Perfect stage number 1 for us!
