You will succeed without a doubt. What a story this is (I've only been around for a few months but it's great, good pace and exciting races!) |

Stage 20
The penultimate stage is a short and flat stage from Auxerre to Provins. But the riders better read the roadbook, as the finish is after a 2km ascend at an average gradient of 4.8% with peaks to 10%!
The peloton with Garmin and Lotto in the lead manages to control the entire stage, with the goal of letting it end in a mass sprint. BSo the breakaways get caight every time, with Lars Boom being the last one at the foot of the final hill.
As we have looked good at the road book, we know that is important to be positioned in the front rows. As Peter Sagan is suffering from a bad day, Matti Breschel serves as the lead out man for Andy Schleck, and he does a great job....
José JoaquÃn Rojas is too strong today, taking his 2nd stage win of this Tour. Behind Boonen and Haussler, Andy Schleck takes the 4th place, with Nibali finishing in 26th.

Word from the DS
Too bad we missed the podium today, but at least Andy managed to stay out of trouble. One more stage to go!

You mean about the finish town? Yes, I put them in the story with every GT. I think it is an addition, that's why.

Stage 21
The last stage of the centennial edition of the Tour de France, brings the riders from Créteil to Paris, for a few laps at the Champs d'Elysée. Will it be a mass sprint as usual, or can someone surprie the sprint trains?
46km to go
In the first part of the race, the sprinter teams work hard to keep the peloton together. But when a rider from both Lotto (Staf Scheirlinckx) and Garmin (Johan Vansummeren) attack, the pace of the peloton drop. Consequently, these 2, together with Alessandro Ballan (BMC), Mitchell Docker (Qantas) and Steve Chainel (FDJ), create a margin of several minutes to the peloton. While riding the first lap at the Paris-circuit, they see the Arc de Triomphe for the first time. With a margin of 6'32, they know that the peloton won't catch them.
10km to go
Being the team with the maillot jaune in it, we feel obliged to do some pace work, but as the 5 are too far ahead, we won't put much effort in it. In the last lap at the Champs d'Elysée, the 5 see the peloton at the opposite side of the road, still 4'39 behind them.
Finish
Off the 5 leaders, BMC's Alessandro Ballan is by far the rider with the most energy left and takes the stage win, his first win in 2013. Docker finishes in 2nd and Scheirlinckx in 3rd. The waiting starts for the peloton, to see if everybody stays on the bike.
Well, this was by far the strangest sprint I've ever seen on the Champs d'Elysée. Why? GC-contenders beating the sprinters in a mass sprint.... Okay,. Heinrich Haussler wins the sprint, but he barely beats Fränk Schleck. Of course..... Also Nick Nuyens and Alberto Contador finish in front of sprinters as Boonen, Sagan and Boasson Hagen
And this is the moment the entire team of Monster Energy - Subway is waiting for. Riders, crew, mechanics, cooks, soigneurs, everybody. They can start celebrating when Andy Schleck crosses the line, thus winning the 100th edition of the Tour de France. In the last season of the Monster-sponsorship, the ultimate goal is received!!!
