What is super team doing anyway..nothing..look at Astana Giro lineup..quite impressive..and they wont get nothing..not even podium spot.
However strong the rest of the team is, Leipheimer needed to be on top form as well. They're all working for one man who isn't good enough.
I think the closest he will get to winning a GT was last year's Vuelta. |

Ok..Levi is not good enough at the moment. But such a strong package should control a mountain stages..and set speed correct for Levi. I dont have seen Astana once at the front of the peloton. |

I thought Levi was never planning on being in top shape for the Giro anyways and still wanted to focus mostly on the Tour (even though he'd for sure not be the leader there). And, with the mountains in the Giro not suiting him anyways, it wasn't much of a surprise to see him get dropped, I suppose. Still, as a fan, a little disappointing. |

...but they have 4 guys in the top 20, and they could not go to the front yesterday with Popo in the break, which means they must have known that Levi was not going to be able to hold on when the attacks came and they were trying to salvage a stage win. |

Useless and useless.. This is Lance's way to talk to the people.. Since he is not talking to the press. So it's not useless.

Yes, so if you like hearing Lance talk about himself for 30 minutes per day, it's not useless. For me, it's useless |

Is it useful to set a pace for someone if he isn't on form ? I mean, if the pace is slow, it'll be useless, and if the pace is too much, the out-of-form-leader will be dropped
Tomorrow's details :
Valjavec was injured yesterday after the arrival of the stage : a car drove on his foot. He'll continue the Giro, because there's no fractures. He only suffered on badly-asphalted roads.

Then why they need pay so much money to hire these ace riders..
To get has many has possible inside top 20?
sry. I have no reason to be sarcastic.everything was fine for Astana till monday.. Just Levi failed there..and he will be known a rider who always have a "GT weak day"

What I think is interesting, and maybe I'm way off base here, but it still seems that Bruyneel teams still put all of their eggs in one basket with the Tour. All of their "ace" riders still want to focus on that race, so even with the team they have at the Giro they still miss the podium. It's because all of their big guns are only in good, not top form. |

Levi and Popovych are in top form.
Other than that, yeah, you pretty much got the gist of Bruyneel's teams.

I'll agree that Popovych is for sure in top form, and I thought Horner was too probably, but I didn't think that Levi was. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Lance originially was to be the leader (before his collarbone break) but was still using the Giro as a tune up for the Tour, it seems unlikely that Levi would be slated to be in top form in May. |

I think that Levi says at the last video he did with lance that he is in very good form a long time and he hopes that this form will last(dont know if this is the right word to use) for this week. |

I'm not saying Levi isn't in good form; this much seems obvious. I don't believe he is in top form, however. I'd say it's comparable to Menchov last year at the Giro--for sure in good form, but still the Tour was his main focus for the year. |
