If you feel satisfied with it, it's good. If not, try push harder next time (this applies in the first case, too).
It's one pretty solid ride, yes.

Can't really tell, because you don't have you heartrate monitored. It is a good average with the almost 400 altitude meters. |

Bike repair question incoming. I'm back in my old hometown and I have my old bike here. There are a couple of problems with it; every wire, nut and bolt is pretty rusty and the gear shifting in kinda broken. The main problem however is that the back wheel wobbles. Something like 6-7mm, perhaps 8mm. It just barely clears the breaking pads.
I'm just wondering, can you true a wheel without removing the tire? I have a alot of tools, but no specialist tools (wheel stand, spoke wrench).
One spoke also snapped last year, but the rest of the spokes don't seem loose.

I'm no expert but I imagine the snapped spoke is the reason the wheel is way off. There's no need to remove the tyre as far as I know. You can do a bodge job by tightening some of the spokes around where the broken one was (using a spoke wrench) but obviously better to replace the broken spoke entirely and get the wheel trued at a shop.
Having said that it happened to my clapped out hybrid just before I was due to buy a new bike - I didn't want to spend any more money on an out going bike so I tried to adjust the other spokes but the metal was fused and they wouldn't budge.
In the end I just totally loosened the rear brake (at least it's way less important than the front brake) and rode it carefully until the new bike arrived. Obviously I really wouldn't recommend this but hopefully you can at least adjust the other spokes tension and get the wheel thereabouts.

I might be able to switch the wheel with one from my previous bike. If I remember correctly, it should be the same type. I don't wanna spend a single dime on this bike since it's pretty old and I hardly ever use it so any spare parts I can find is helpfull.
Hate changing the backwheel, though.

Yes. Click on the walk, then on the pencil on the left and the first option sees "Walk" or "Ride" and just change it there

After watching the National TT Championships yesterday, I rode the course today https://www.strava.com/activities/1588.../158840799
One lap in just under 50 minutes, while Wiggins did two laps in 53 minutes. Close.

picked up another minor injury, god those are annoying . just been sick and started to feel not crap anymore, I get a "zweepslag" (couldn't find a good translation, basically a tearing of muscle tissue in my gastrocnemius muscle) so I won't be doing any serious riding for a while (again)
Spoiler gastrocnemius muscle
look at me, acting all sciencey

Norway NC RR tomorrow. 185 km with Kristoff and the other guys. I'm not sure that I'll come home at all, will probably lay dead on the road somewhere. Need a good luck now!
Btw I think there are more injuried riders on this forum, than in pro cycling in general - learn about injury prevention and get better guys!

pre ... ven ... tion? what is that? is that even in the english dictionary? can you explain what you mean by that?
but I'm feeling better now (didn't do anything today so not sure if I'm good again though). only three more weeks until summer vacation and since I've basically been between peak-great form since mid-2012, I need a rest
edit: good luck tomorrow nils, when can we expect to see you in the daily db's

If you're not kidding Luigi - prevention is basically to do everything ( trainings, warming up before rides etc) to make sure you won't injure yourself = to get good preparation so your body will react better to injuries = they won't happen that often = almost removing any chance that they'll happen (except crashes, who you cannot predict).
But, seems like prevention doesn't work for me really. My body hates me and that's kinda clear to me now. Whenever I get in some kind of shape and good form, it decides to troll me a bit with some (minor) injury. What worries me the most is that my whole men family, starting from my great-grandafather, had problems with tendons on achilles heel and I still didn't have that type of injury (I had many!), so I am pretty much screwed up...
Kneecap injury update: It's getting alot better now and it seems that 6 months will turn into 2 months or even shorter, as I was kinda passive in first month and started getting short rides few days/week ago. Basically everything what doctor said, so I am a disciplined, little boy.
Good luck Nils! You, Strydz, Shonak and all others that are taking ultra-long rides and ride actual, real races, are true hero in this community. Have fun tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Go Go Go Nils!!! I am sure you will kick arse
I am considering another Everest during the Rapha Rising challenge 19th-27th of July on Strava. My health has been getting better and while still not full strength I am felling in better shape than before my last Everest. The only things that might stop me in that it's winter over here (doubt it would stop me even if it was snowing) and my left foot is still giving me trouble, seeing a podiatrist next week so with luck it heals in time to give it a shake.
Oh picked up another bike yesterday, its a Fondriest Tf3 1.2 running Ultegra 6800 11 speed, it is one sweet looking machine so will post up some pics soon.
And once again good luck Nils

Doubled my KOM count with some (very carefully ) selected segment runs on the last ride. Couple of 2nd spots too means some revisits with another few seconds shaved off are in order...probably wishful thinking...
Back in the real racing world, how did the Norwegian nationals go Nils?
