Yeah but Armstrong was alreday left behind in the GC and I think they will have atleast one rider top 5 so if Armstrong went with menchov (not sure he could keep up with them) leipheimer had lost more time I think. |

Leipheimer is the team-leader. And probably without Armtrong he would have lost even more time.

It's not probably! Levi said it him self. Lance saved me minutes, and it was an honor!

yeah, Menchov tends to blow up quite easily when attacking too much.
I think what he did today was the right choice. As long as Sastre and Basso dont take more then a minute, there's nothing to worrie about.
Acctualy he tends to fall while attacking ... (TdF 2008)
Just imagine how boring Giro would be if he had not lost those 25 seconds on third stage. |

Menchov said he never panicked, and said he chose not to follow Sastre because he was far behind anyway. He said he only watched Di Luca, and won't give Sastre more space in the next mountain stages. |

It was obvious really, 3 minutes is quite a lot of time, he could allow Sastre some room, but Di Luca couldn't have any.

Finnaly we can put an end to any debate that lovkvist will ever be a 3 week Tour Rider ..pfiu !
Menchov master of wheel sucking today...Sastre at the 13 percent was DEAD .... the jesus camed and resurected him =)
So for sure menchov will win Giro , All he needs is a TdF win if he makes the same preparation for Tdf next year and rabo signes 1 good lieutanant will have a big chance.
Sign a good lieutanant? They already have 1 very good lieutanant. He goes by the name of Robert Gesink, 23 years old, was 7th in the Vuelta last year... |

If menchov is going to win this thing he is going to have to bully Di Doper into working more. He gets away with too muck sitting on. |

News Flash if Menchov wants to win TdF he will go just in 1 GT , and if Rabo want to have decent exposure and results in Vuelta or Giro , they will use Gesink well , and don't give me the crap with Ten Dam or Ardilla cause they are shit .

Menchov didn't bother too much chasing Sastre as he was far in the GC.
