If I can choose one way to win a bike race, than will it be the way stijn won this superb job, finally RvV for Stijn

This is really awesome! What a solo by Stijn!
He's really on a roll, now take the double, that would be so amazing!

Weell, now you cheated again Ian! He as least, yes I said at LEAST 85 FL and 85 COB! Don't you dare ever change that again so you can win!

Ollfardh - Well, if he had to win, better do it in style
cunego59 - Thanks, was a good race
PCM rulezz - I'd choose this, too. Thanks, glad to finally have that Ronde! As a matter of fact, it's the first time I win RvV on PCM 2012!
sutty68 - Thanks, because he couldn't give you Wevelgem, he gave you this!
wogsrus - sounds like a cool name for a story!
maxime86 - Thanks!
Jesleyh - I agree, but it won't be easy. Will try it, though! But Roubaix hasn't been Stijn's best friend before
rogvi97 - I didn't Who says I had to cheat those stats, maybe he has 85 in everything (where is TMM?) Nah, I'm kidding, he's only 84 in everything
MrUfo87 - Sforza is just the cycling team
TimoCycling - Belgium welcomes big solos, it seems thanks!
Paris - Roubaix either tomorrow or the day after! |

I like the report style too btw, very authentic.
Also, I know you really wanted to win Ronde, but you shouldn't have set difficulty to easy
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Great result, great report, but Ian, come on... this isn't normal. In real life, he was accused of doping (of course at the PCM daily site) already, being this dominant.
But f that is going to be your next story twist.....

sutty68 - They sure are
dienblad - That won't be a story twits But well, I never said this would be a story about a normal guy. In cycling history there have been many riders that were abnormal. He developed into a monster and I'm just going with it, for the moment. |

Paris - Roubaix 2016
In our lives, we've seen many things. Some things we forget, some we remember. What we have seen these past few weeks will remain in our collective memory forever. We've seen a man, doing things no man was capable of doing. Today, Stijn Van Gent has the chance to complete his tour of desctruction and finish the competition once and for all. Welcome to Paris - Roubaix, the Hell of the North!
The peloton has arrived at the first cobbled section of the day.
Tom Boonen must feel good, as his team has been controlling the race for the last hour or so. The breakaway's gap is melting already!
As the peloton thins out bit by bit, we start to understand the secret of Van Gent's success. We count more than four riders of Garmin in the last surviving 30 riders.
One man thinks he knows how to beat the World Champion. From very far out, Boonen attacks!
The World Champion grew up while Tom Boonen was in his prime, so he knows he can't let this man get away!
[...]
After a 10 kilometer chase, the two leaders are together. We're 31 kilometers from the finish and have two Belgians fighting for the victory! What is Boonen's plan and, more importantly, what aces does the World Champion have left in his sleeve?
Forget about a plan, The World Champion leaves the National Champion to eat his dust! Not even a glance in his direction, he just keeps his pace and it's too hard for Boonen!
And he's off. This reminds us of the Ronde. Is anyone capable of bringing him back, we think not!
An --- Wait a minute, what's happening here? There is no organized chase. Everyone's just looking at each other, clearly thinking about dividing up the remaining podium places. This is just handing Van Gent the victory on a silver platter!
And here's the big moment. Van Gent enters the Vélodrome!
It's happened! Van Gent has written history. He scores an unprecedented 3/3 with Milan - San Remo, De Ronde Van Vlaanderen and Paris - Roubaix! There's only one man to talk to today, really. We look for the Ranbow Stripes in the crowd, and we spot him! He's sitting down on the grass in the Vélodrome as riders are still coming in.
[...]
We tried to interview the World Champion, but without success. He hasn't a single breath to spare, tired out tremendously.
- Well, that's only normal, he's put his body under an unnatural stress these last weeks. Hell, these last months. He's pushed his physique to the absolute maximum. When all the adrenaline is gone, all that's left is a ravaged body.
[...]
He's completely flat out now. We've never seen anything like it before. A medic team is on the scene now. He's unable to stand and has to be supported by two man. There's no podium ceremony, they're lifting him into the ambulance and they're getting ready to leave. This is unbelievable.
- I'm sure it's precautionary, but it worries us nevertheless. Stijn Van Gent misses his own podium ceremony and we are left without that satisfaction. We hope to bring you more news on the 7 o' clock news tonight, but our time is up here. We'll keep an eye on the situation!
