Some how this post reminded me Biathlon..
I dont see me relating it to astana and keep posting about a rider or team for a whole ten posts everytime someone replies
Anyway good ride from mr roche again. he looks extremely promising. You thikn team sky may sign him at the end of the year or has he still got a contract next year at AG2R? |

Yes, he was even taken over by Nicolas Roche and Pierre Rolland in youth standings. So white jersey is now 2-rider affair between Andy & Nibali. Kreuziger, Feillu or Velits won't threaten. |

Is Z pulling the peloton to get VDV to Top10 or to prevent anyone attacking Wiggo?
Both, and to stop other riders from coming back
No one was coming back. Next group (Cadel Evans) almost 3 minutes back. But indeed VDV made Top10 by 39 second-margin toAstarloza. That may have motivated Z-man's effort.
It wasnt 3 minutes at the top of the climb

Sprinters in now losing 24 to 27 minutes. So no worries for Hushovd, Cav etc. Only van Hummel still out there anymore |

And van Hummel stays in the race. Coming in 7 minutes after the 160th rider, but safely & clearly inside cut |

Great to hear that Van Hummel survived another day.
But sadly, he`ll probobly be out tommorow on the "queen" stage.
If he however should define the majority of the laws of physics and finish inside the time limit just one more time tommorow, the next three stages aren`t that bad. He could actually make it to Paris. Imagine that |

Thats good news, I still fear that at his age this might be the end of his career. That said, this is Jens Voigt, and I wouldn't be surprised if he fights his way back. |

Lol, van Hummel was at 37 minutes at the final of the last climb, and finished at 34 minutes. That means he descended 3 minutes faster than anyone.
Hushovd the best decender? Cancellara? Nah. It's Van Hummel |
