More importantly, it's said that Di Luca is being targetted by UCI due to weird blood values.
It's not the first time, and it's about time that we get rid of him... |

Bruyneel interview. Two major points:
- Yes, there is strain inside the team . duuh. You only have to read Paulinho's diary on eurosport to see that. Paulinho's words on the feud being "I'm so very tired".
- No riders will wear earpieces today because the UCI warned that any who try to will be disqualified and sent home on the spot |

Tbh, we must stay realistic, they arent going to send Astana home. They cant afford it with Lance being there, also the other big 3. They will lose a hell of alot of publicity, and probobly sponsors to.

It will be up to the teams to agree to ride with radios. If all teams do it, they will get away with it. |

Danish elite women cyclist Jette Fuglsang, has died during a training camp in France. Where she was hit by a camper during a downhill and threw over the cliffside. She was declared dead at the hospital as her liver and lungs were destroyed.

That was my first thought too, but I searched and found nothing, so I guess not.
On the race radio thing, as someone else siad: If 18 teams decide to ride with race radios, there's no chance in hell that they're being sent home.
... although I'm not entirely sure. The possibility of having a French Tour winner might make ASO interested |

At least the rumours were just that: rumours.
Both Di Luca and the UCI comfirmed that there is no suspicion on his bloodvalues whatsoever.
So please stop destroying the sport by acting like a judge with no evidence |

They said the same with Dekker.

There are too many rumours around Di Luca.
Like I said before, if I learned one thing about the whole Dekker incident. Yes, there are a lot of false rumours where not even 1% is right. But if the rumours keep coming, and new rumors keep popping up, something is definately wrong. |

McQuaid was reelected for 4 years. So we get 4 more years of a corrupt governing body that doesn't want doping to go away.
Astana made the doping controllers wait for an entire hour before collecting blood samples.
THIS IS EXTREMELY SERIOUS AND SHOULD LEAD TO SEVERE SANCTIONS FOR THE TEAM
Want to bet nothing will happen with McQuaid in charge?
There's a very strong reason why blood samples must be taken immediately. It's to prevent athletes from diluting their blood values to conceal doping. This takes literally a couple of minutes.
This is extremely serious. Yet nothing will happen. Because McQuaid won't let anything happen.
I'll remind you all that McQuaid is a former rider and former doper.
So hurray for doping in cycling. Hurray for pseudo-clean teams that do nothing except say they're clean and stupid people lap it up.
Let's all go to sleep for 20 years and come back in 2030. Maybe by then we will have had at least one Grand Tour podium with at least one clean rider.

Well at least it is getting better. I have not yet seen an unreal Ricco like performance in this years Tour. That must be some kind of positive indication...
And the french have won three stages. Also a good sign imo. |

Three breakaways, one of which I'd trust about as much as Lhottelerie. It's the route, not really this getting cleaner. The climbing performances show it, too. They're the same as most previous years since EPO came into the pack. |

I am not a naive boy. I know about doping. Not that I care about it though.
But right, why always the talks about doping. I mean, I can accuse 20 riders of which I think they dope. But I won't. I just watch and enjoy the sport, because I love the sport. And when someone is caught, I am not happy. A positive test means another bad day for the sport and another rider which I won't see riding for 2 years again. Why should you be happy when a good rider leaves the peloton, even if he cheated? At least Di Luca gave us a lot of fun. He alone gave us a spectacle at the Giro with his riding style, so I cannot imagine there is a single reason you don't like the boy and want to get rid of him only when there are some rumours. Why not wait for the tests and enjoy the sport when there are no positive tests?
If I constantly thought about doping during races and when I see spectacular riding, I would not be enjoying road cycling. And I do now, being naive or not. |

How do you messure the climbing performance in relation to previous years? Wattage? How do you messure wattage again?
Edit: power = (total mass x gravity x vertical height gained) / time plus about 40 or so watts for various resistances (e.g., rolling). Sound about right?
