That was so impressive by Cav.
Haussler had the race won with 100m to go, but Cav's acceleration was incredible. |

Incredibly lucky day for Cavendish. He must have been parying to the cycling gods. Race evolved perfectly for him and he won by a couple of millimeters. Still, another awesome sprint by him.
Best moment of the day was the expression in Hushovd`s face after Haussler just f`ed off.
don't get me wrong, I'm very happy he won
it's just that.....this particular race evolving in this particular way (nothing to do with Cavendish) was supposed to be impossible.
The world makes no sense.

Davis came 4th. Don`t be surprised if he, the next time we see him, has marks on his neck suspicialy similar to Boonens hands.

Yes, I think so, and a little lack of resistance about 20meters from the line, he seems to slow down just one second |

Still I have trouble believing Cav really won. Normally he can't even follow the pack up a molehill and now he suddenly goes up the Cipressa and Poggio without any problems. How did he do that? |

He was interviewed during the TOC, and in it he said he includes a hell of a lot of climbing in his training. That plus the fact that he has been road riding and not track riding means he can climb a lot better than in years past |

If the Alpe d'Huez is climbed at the rythm of MSR, Cav will win it for sure

He was dropped in every stage that had even slight hills. Again, today was a strange abnormality. The pack went very slowly. Hell, even Enrico Rossi was there at the finish, and he's about as good a climber as Magnus Backstedt.
