4 of 4 it's just amazing
If I ever write a sometimes new story ..this will be about continental team..for now it feels a little embarrassing to dominate Romandie tour like this

That was amazing. I know that Basso should rock the next stage and make it 5 for 5. I am seriously surprised that you are going to take Basso only to the Giro with this performance he should do great in the tour especially on the penultimate stage. |

At least I try to keep this one in realism..Basso -Giro and Vuelta..TdF just hates the guy.. |

Stage 5
Sion - Zinal
Queen stage..real mountains.
We have ride ..and just taken 60km. mountain when 4 riders atack away..Kiryenka, Brand, Verdugo and Moncoutie..strong climbing force..
..Liquigas solution for this solution..they sacrify again Noe..up to front veteran and pull has hard you can..gap is melting away..
When group comes back together..another Euskaltel rider atack..this time Martinez, Wegelius, Canada..Basso counters..main and longest climb has started..
Di Luca atack..little to late. Martinez and Basso ..get away..
They starting to work together..usual deal? you take stage win..I win the tour?
Di Luca falls back to the main group..after short downhill they start a climb again
wow Martinez isnt giving up..he atack against Basso and like to go alone..
Slowly ..but Basso has ride this gap down again..great battle.
...little behind..Moncoutie and Chavanel has launched atack..
Di Luca comes ..passes them both and started to chase down Basso-Martinez duo..
we have 10 km. to go..Di Luca closing and fast. Basso decided ..this is it time to ..follow if you can.. Martinez suffering..
Di Luca passes Martinez..and after Basso he go ś
Basso all alone at the front..Di Luca looks to had slowing down..
Great stage win..
..and tyred Di Luca just managed to keep he's second place against to Chavanel.
Total domination..Basso have all the jerseys..(exept youn raider jersey..)

Are you sure that Basso is clean maybe he has something left from Fuentes...
but yes very weak startlist as I had too in my story in Romandie
Except Di Luca nobody can be at the same level with Basso, I mean Chavanel is third..

if Contador doesn't come Basso will be the big favourite in my opinion though than I don't remember well Basso's stats in the Daily DB.

Final stage
Le Bouveret - Lausanne
Today is for Pellizotti who has been so far helping Basso..today he has green light to do what he like..
..and he get inside breakaway group..Garate, Tschopp, Kiryenka and Pellizotti..(about 30km. to go)
Chavanel coming from behind ...fast . This has been like he' s trademark ..he can ride away almost short advantage all alone.
Di Luca launches atack..Di Luca is only guy for Basso to wach..he has 2min. advantage ..but who knows.
Where is Di Luca..there is Basso..
..and hugh lead group comes back together just before final short hill..
..and Pellizotti is firt who launches atack..
Di Luca, Kiryenka and Martinez follows.. Basso wont follow...no need..
Kiryenka and Pellizotti leading..But Killer isnt giving up..
He launches atack in short down hill..Pellizotti is difficulty to get behind he's backwheel. (read stadion name in Lausanne)
Last corner..looking good Pelizotti waiting a strike moment. Di Luca doing all the work..
..and he takes stage win..muaaahhh! Basso 3 stage wins..Corioni 1..Pellizotti 1.
(dedicated to Bosskardo)
For now tour winner Basso rolling over the line 25 sec. later.
Sörensen getting on this stage he's climber jersey back..

92. edition
TTT Lido di Venezia
Here we go..Liquigas has been all season difficulty with TTT's ..lets hope that we dont loose to much time...
Lets take the teams with same queue..has tgey started today. Team wich opens the race Caisse..
They are surprsied me..they are out with stronger team what I was expecting..Valverde has team leader, Perreiro, Kiryenka, Lopez, Sanchez..realy strong team..and today 4th. place (+9sec.)
Ag2r..well probably Nocentini is after stage win..Arrieta and veteran Dessel will help him as much possible..Mondory is sprint oportunist.
Today 10th. (+37 sec.)
Cofidis..Moncoutie was in good shape in Roamndie tour..he is team nr. 1. Usov is after sprint stage wins (wont be easy...sprinter who likes to be succesful..should get over hills also)
Cofidis..12. (+ 48 sec.)
Liquigas..Basso is team leader..strong team arround is Pellizotti, Noe, Zaugg, Szmydt. Then sprinter Bennati with strong flat rider Oss and Vandborg.
Today ..well as usual..far from perfect 15. (+51 sec.)
Francaise des Jeux..Casar has team leader..and quite ok support team around him..Di Gregorio and Joly. Hutarovich is in wrong tour..(one black number candidate).
Today ..9. (+36 sec.)
Silence-Lotto ..dissapointment...No Evans, no Dekker ,no Gilbert and no van den Brock..Aerts is team leader.
Today 11. (+38 sec.)
Quick step..Devolder, Boonen..great. I'm happy that Boonen is here..great battle with sprint jersey competition.
Today..14. (+49 sec.)
Serramenti PVC...all out..Simoni, Rebellin, Scarponi..and Loddo for sprints.
Rabobank..wow Menchov is out..he wasnt good at spring classics..probably just prepearing for TdF. Freire..another great man for sprint battle..and solid support team for Menchov like Ardila, Garate, Tankink, Reus..great team.
Today...7th. (+20 sec.)
Lampre with Cunego and Bruseghin..Cunego should be in great condition. He had ok classics..
Today..5. (+9 sec.)
Highroad..what is this? Where are you hiding your raiders..? Siutsou..Albasini..Eisel (climber jersey, hilly sprint stage win, sprinter)..weak team..they are holding theyr best stage racers for TdF.
Today..belive or not Highroad is last team in TTT results (+1'16)
Astana...Contador is back to defend he's title...dont know he's form. But I belive when mountains comes then he is ready for shure..support team Paulinho, Popo, Rubiera..Vaitkus for sprints..and we have favorite team. Looks like Leiphemer and Armstrong is tour team..damn Bruyneel.
Fuji- Servetto ...this was just year ago when this team was team with strongest climbing force..this year Jufre, Canada, De la Fuente is riders who will be in the picture..
Today:...19. (+1'11)
Milram..dont see much succes oportunity there..breakaways..maybe. Possible stage win with Ciolek, Wegmann
Today..8th. (+36 sec.)
Saxo Bank..I was waiting to see wich brother will be team leader..They decided Fränk..smart one Andy is focusing 100% for tour..I dont belive much Fränk success..he has been raced already so much this season.
At least he has good support team Voigt, Arvesen and N. Sörensen (probably climber jersey candidate)..sprinters team Breschel and Goss.
Today..best team and Fränk get maglio rosa.
Katusha team...Karpets, Botcharov, Petrov, Pfannberger, Pozzato..great team. They but all out for Giro.
Today...3rd. (+4 sec.)
Bouygues Telecom...well..weakest French team..why they are here
Today..16th. (+51 sec.)
Euskaltel..Martinez has team leader..he had great climbing spirit in Romandie tour..but I think Giro proile is a bit to hard for this line up..
Today..21. (+1'16)
Barloworld..I am happy to see that team..Soler, Augustyn. Great
Today..18. (+1'09)
LPR..Di Luca must be angry after Romandie,,he had 2 clear chanches to take stage win..but had lost both battles. Now he is back again..helpers like Bernucci and Bosisio. Also one of the strongest sprinter team..Petacchi with perfect lead out man Ongarato. Petacchi condition is big question mark..
Today...17. (+1'00)
Garmin..Danielson has team leader (good to see him back after wasted 2008 season) Zabriskie, Millar, Farrar, Dean, Cozza, Pate..great group.
Today..just 1 sec. short and 2nd. place..
Acqua & Sapone..Codol, Garzelli..Paolini..
Today..20. (+1'13)
