Stage 11/21:
After 1 mountain stage we go back to the flat roads, a group of 11 gets away and in this break Nippo has Lars Boom. Since Boom is, together with Bennati, a Nippo rider who's still feeling good we have high hopes. The group of 11 thins out and after the 2 climbs of the day we only have 6 riders left
Westphal, Boom, Vandewalle, Boucher, Mortensen and Missaglia up front
But the sprinterteams are working, with 20 kms to go they still have 3 minutes but then when there are only 3 kms to go they sense that the pack is getting real close now. Even though it seems that they'll make it is Lars Boom who decides to attack!
Boom still has some juice left in the tank and attacks!
Boom grabs 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds...
Boom up front and it seems like he will win this stage, but look how close the pack is now!
And while others get caught its Lars Boom who wins the stage!
Victory for Lars Boom and the Nippo team!

thankyou, thankyou
Stage 12/21:
However we couldnt party all night long since there was a real monster of a stage the next day...
Since Siutsou is not in form to do a top 25 this Giro we want to try and grab the KOM jersey with him. But since there were only 10 points on top of the first mountain we decided not to let Konstantin attack today. Instead Boom went out again and he was part of a 11 man break
Break of 11 going up the first mountain
And then the group gets smaller, and smaller, and smaller, in the back meanwhile some strong climbers attacked. But since Moreau, Sastre, Rubiera and Gonzalez Capilla aren't GC threats at all they were allowed to make the jump and so they joined Boom and Zberg who were the only ones left up front
Boom leads the 'new' break
Then it was time for Zberg to let go, soon afterwards Boom also decided to call it a day and decided to go up the mountain on his own instead of trying to follow the stronger ones. Surprisingly Gonzalez had to let go when Boom let go and with 2 kms to go it was Rubiera who couldnt follow Moreau's pace. Then when they almost reached the top of the first mountain it was Sastre who got rid of Moreau.
Sastre on his way to the 2nd climb of the day
Moreau almost manages to get back but then when to go up again he slowly loses terrain. Meanwhile the group of favourites is thinning out but still it seems certain that the Spaniard is on his way to victory. And Sastre does so, he wins in Briancon but is still 36th in the GC. In the back Moreau ends 2nd and then on the final part Cunego jumps away, takes in Rubiera and ends 3rd and also wins more time...
Left: Sastre wins!, Right: Cunego ends 3rd but is still the winner of the day together with Sastre.

Stage 14/21:
A mountain stage that isnt so difficult since the final kms are all flat. Early on a big group with 2 Nippo's in it gets away. Arashiro and Docker are the ones up front
Left: Zarate and Arashiro lead the break, Right: Docker is the first to reach the Passo San Marco
However behind Docker several favourites attacked, when we got past the 2nd climb the situation looked something like this
Left: Astarloza and Pereiro talking up front, Right: Noval had to let go, can he get back?
Behind them we have the Little Prince!
Left: Damiano Cunego continues dominating! Right: Guerini, Parra, Piepoli and Barredo couldnt follow Cunego.
behind these riders there is still 1 more group featuring guys like Di Luca and Ricco, however the pack which consists of 21 riders now is getting close
Di Luca and Ricco are trying to get the Little Prince back (Docker is the Nippo rider)
But while Di Luca and Ricco are caught together with the Parra-Piepoli group Cunego manages to win time after all. He leaves Noval behind and with 5 kms to go he even joins Pereiro and Astarloza. And since the Basque and the Spaniard are paying too much attention to eachother Cunego sneaks away with the win!
Damiano Cunego is at it again!

Just wanted to say that im starting all over again with the 2007 unlimited version, this version is quite outdated and has some flaws that the unlimited version doesnt have. I will keep updating u in this topic but I will likely only do that per month and start the real reporting once im in the 2nd season
also, when I reach the 2nd season I'll try to sign the same guys, same goes for my Spartan story...after that I want to go on and see how far I get

meh, when I installed the newest giant...it just didnt feel 'right' playing all over again with my nippo's so ill continue and I've got something new, the transfer season is coming closer and next year I want to have a 35 rider squad with different nationalities. To make it more fun and more of a challenge for me I made something like this:
5 from France
5 from Italy
5 from Spain
3 or 4 riders from English speaking countries (UK, Australia, USA, New Zealand, Canada)
3 or 4 riders from the Benelux
3 riders from Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland and Denmark, no Norway since I'll use Norwegians with Sparta)
3 riders from Asia
8, 7 or 6 riders from Eastern Europe (Depends on how much riders I take from English speaking countries and the Benelux)
= 35 riders
And this time you can decide who I'll sign, this offseason we'll be able to sign 11 new riders. These riders will most certainly be released
Didier Rous
Alexander Mironov
Drasutis Stundzia
Antonio Tauler
Will one rider will be resigned (hopefully)
Moises Duenas
What I'll do now is give u some names per country and then you can post here who u think fits best in my team. Before I give u the names I'll want to give a small interpretation of what my best riders are in certain areas so that u know where Nippo needs help
Climbing:
Gil 79
Abal 76
Siutsou 76
Duenas 76
Calzati 74
Hills:
Gil 77
Claeys 76
Efimkin 76
Siutsou 74
Calzati 74
TT:
Boom 77
Ignatiev 76
Abal 75
Brutt 74
Bespalov 73
Cobbles:
Boom 74
Aulas 72
Blot 72
Saramotins 71
Claeys 64
Sprint:
Bennati 82
Docker 78
Serebriakov 76
Miyazawa 76
Dall'Antonia 75
And here are the riders from which you can choose
Italy:
Enrico Franzoi (79 for cobbles, could he be our answer to the cobble question?)
Riccardo Ricco (Had a terrific season, is a bi like Gil but only better)
Fillipo Pozzato (Bennati seems to come up short hilly wise, Pozzato could help us in races like MSR, also I like Pipo alot )
Dario Cataldo (younger rider, 76 for climbing and perhaps could become better)
Matteo Carrara (good in the hills and has a nice sprint, a mini-pozzato and definitely cheaper)
pick 3 riders from these 5
Spain:
Igor Anton (Already looked good thus far in the Giro, a young Basque who could learn alot from fellow Basque Koldo Gil)
David Lopez Garcia (More experienced than Anton and therefore perhaps a safer option for the time being, he has 79 for climbing)
Carlos Barredo (A true monster on the flat roads, on top of that he is also a good rider for the hills and a decent climber)
Mikel Astarloza (Another basque who is probably cheaper than the others, has 77 climbing)
pick 2 from here
France:
Pierre Rolland (Did well in Paris Nice, atm he only has 74 CL and 72 HILL but perhaps the 22 year old can grow with Nippo)
William Bonnet (A great TT'er and he is also a decent sprinter, 78 TT and 76 SP)
John Gadret (A good climber who could help us in the Tour)
Benoit Vaugrenard (He's the French version of Barredo, a great helper)
pick 2 from here
English speaking countries:
Simon Gerrans (he wont win LBL or AGR but he's very capable of winning smaller races and helping us in the GTs)
Allan Davis (could take some pressure of Docker and Bennati)
Nicolas Roche (The Irish version of Gerrans)
Mark Cavendish (See Davis)
pick 2 from here
Benelux:
Jurgen Vandenbroeck (an allrounder, he wont win lots of big races but can help us in every department)
Frank Schleck (Gil doesnt have what it takes to win a classic like LBL, but Schleck does)
Pick 1 from here
Scandinavia:
Jussi Veikanen (Dont underestimate helper, Veikkanen could help us alot on the flat roads and on the hills)
Thomas Lovkvist (The talent finally seems to live up to the expectations, and so its time for us to get him)
Lars Ytting Bak (Read Veikkanen, a Danish version of him)
Pick 2 from here
Please do realize that I probably dont have enough money to sign Ricco, Cavendish, Davis, Lovkvist, Gadret, Schleck, Pipo and Anton who are the best riders in here, so think about that please. So when you have Ricco and Pipo from Italy, its probably wiser to pass up on Gadret when picking French riders, Lovkvist when picking Scandinavians or choosing Vandenbroeck instead of Schleck. I dont want to have a dominating squad So just to make sure no one does so I'll only take 2 or 3 riders when Gadret, Schleck, Ricco, Lovkvist and Anton all end on top and same goes for Cavendish, Davis, Bonnet and Pipo.
