but with no chance for success. De Ketele is the fastest in sprint.

What´s your position in Continental Ranking may I ask? It seems that this season can be one huge success for your team.

It´s hard to make a story in shadow of Pro Tour team´s stories, especially Guido´s one. Especially now, when he starts with first Grand Tour of season Pfft
I understand that people much preferably read about true cyclists stars like Basso, Contador, Di Luca, Armstrong fighting themselves. I can´t offer it to you. People much preferably read about Grand Tours, Flanders Classics or big Pro Tour races. I can´t offer it to you either. I manage Continental team with no true stars, mostly join smaller races or one day classic races and mostly fight against same "noname" riders or top riders in mediocre race condition. I understand that it can´t be so interesting like as mentioned above.

But now, it´s time for my personal Grand Tour, 8-stages long race Paris-Nice. This is real challenge for me, I look forward to this race very long. I´m sure I´ll enjoy it and hope that YOU will enjoy it too.

next: short view on all stages

Stage 1 - short individual time trial. Nothing special, nothing more to say.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/12739fb1.png
Stage 2 - first and only stage for sprinters. We can´t probably expect succesfull breakaway

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/6d6ba9df.png
Stage 3 - first hilly stage with several mountain sprints, very long. Real battle will start here. It will show us strenght of each possible favourite.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/8125c596.png
Stage 4 - second hilly stage, shorter one with longer but less steep climbs. If I have a chance to make good result, it´s here!

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/a113c77e.png
Stage 5 - Mt. Ventoux, hardest climb of tour. But there is almost 40km long descent until finish, good chance for skilled puncheurs to make up for lost time from climb.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/130c4a05.png
Stage 6 - another filly stage, almost 200km long. But again, last 40km are flat or mild descent. I think good puncheurs/sprinters will dominate here. Maybe another chance for my captain?

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/1e9ab021.png
Stage 7 - last hilly stage, very long with very steep climb to finish. Probably great climber will succeed but I don´t expect big gaps between main contenders.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/fa7551e0.png
Stage 8 - last stage, mountain time trial. Good chance for climbers to mix with overall classification.

Good luck in Paris Nice Smile An the keep it up, your story is good and I think that people read your story if it's good, not just because it's a pro tour story. Maybe it's more exciting with Pro Tour races and GTs but nothing can be better than a great story Pfft

But that is what I´ve talk before. It´s a big difference to read about battle between Contador, Sastre, Schlecks and Basso and between Fedrigo, Ardila and Champion...I think big names give true greatness to stories Wink

Maybe it is so, maybe it isn´t. I have been enjoying your story very lot since you started. Because your fight against sponsors, lack of riders and wild cards is interesting to read. Keep up in a good work.Wink

1. C.Sastre
2. J.Gómez Marchante
3. P.Kennaugh
4. T.Kritskiy
5. M.Mahoric
6. Ó.Pujol
7. R.Rogina
8. Y.Sobal

+ best team riders here, they´ll be very strong in hills
- C.Sastre opens season

My prediction: they will take some partial good results, TOP 5 in GC is maximum

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/d7201a5b.png

11. K.Kirchen
12. A.Jeanneson
13. B.Leukemans
14. D.López
15. M.Perget
16. A.Rodríguez
17. E.Salgueiro
18. R.Urán

+ K.Kirchen, 1 leader/7 team mates
- I don´t see any

My prediction: TOP3 is minimum

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/6083ca38.png

21. T.Dekker
22. A.Davis
23. N.Jalabert
24. S.Lang
25. M.Lloyd
26. O.Pollack
27. S.Scheirlinckx
28. G.Van Avermaet

+ T.Dekker
- strange compound team

My prediction: although Dekker won´t have great support from team, he´ll make TOP5. Davis can succeed in flat stage.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/11d4512c.png

31. J.Voigt
32. K.Arvesen
33. G.Brambilla
34. M.Breschel
35. F.Finot
36. J.Haedo
37. F.Rénier
38. C.Sörensen

+ J.Voight, good support in hills, strange chasing power
- Schlecks are not presented

My prediction: Even without two aces, team will reach at least TOP3 position, Voight may win whole race.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/0e186fd8.png

41. M.Ortega
42. V.Buts
43. M.Da Dalto
44. T.Hushovd
45. N.Santos
46. M.Sapa
47. S.Spilak
48. V.Zagorodny

+ hard to say...maybe T.Hushovd
- weak lineup overall

My prediction: Ortega can surprise, but he´s alone...also Hushovd may take some decent results

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/f9e9ad7a.png

51. T.Rohregger
52. G.Ciolek
53. R.García
54. H.Haussler
55. C.Knees
56. C.Kux
57. M.Ruß
58. J.Sobrino

+ Knees and Haussler can make some decent results
- badly compound lineup with 3 sprinters and 2 useless riders

My prediction: I can´t expect nothing big from this team here, podium place in one stage will be maximum

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/a404bcb6.png

61. B.Intxausti
62. A.Durán
63. H.González
64. M.Lloret
65. J.Megías
66. R.Serrano
67. B.Shpilevski
68. W.Walker

+ Intxausti
- weak lineup

My prediction: Intxausti is future star, but his time will come later

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/84c9201a.png

71. D.Moncoutié
72. A.Coyot
73. A.Moinard
74. R.Pauriol
75. R.Taaramäe
76. J.Tombak
77. A.Usov
78. T.Valentin

+ very combative team
- everything else

My prediction: we´ll see them in every early escape. Nothing less, nothing more.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/649273ff.png

81. M.Medina
82. O.Gatto
83. M.Girardini
84. A.Loddo
85. L.Moser
86. E.Rigotto
87. F.Taborre
88. N.White

+ M.Medina, N.White
- weak lineup overall

My prediction: I´m looking forward to Manuel Medina and hope he´ll make some good results Smile

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/0f397f0c.png

91. C.Pfannberger
92. F.Ginanni
93. V.Gusev
94. G.Mikhailov
95. D.Napolitano
96. S.Schelling
97. B.Swift
98. A.Villegas

+ Exceptional puncheurs, D. Napolitano
- no good time trialist

My prediction: Very interesting lineup. I think they will win at least one stage, TOP5 overall ain´t unavailable.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/ad20ad03.png

101. K.Siutsou
102. M.Albasini
103. A.Hassink
104. A.Klier
105. T.Martin
106. K.O'Bee
107. F.Rabon
108. M.Sieberg

+ T.Martin
- very weak lineup overall

My prediction: where are Lovkvist, Van Summeren, Nocentini? Only T.Martin can win the stage, first time trial.

114. S.Joly
115. C.Le Mével
116. G.Levarlet
117. F.Mourey
118. Y.Offredo

+ very combative team
- everything else

My prediction: same as Cofidis, early breakaways are maximum.

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/bf38bb1b.png

121. D.Arroyo
122. V.Dimitriev

124. B.Kupeshov
125. E.Parra
126. T.Vaitkus
127. L.Zanasca
128. A.Zeits

+ nothing
- incredibly weak lineup

My prediction: where are all stars, on Hawai? We will see their jerseys mostly in back of field.

137. G.Suray
138. S.Tronet

+ Continental Tour leader Fedrigo
- very weak support

My prediction: My personal goal is TOP10 overall. Time will show, if it is possible or not. One thing is clear, Fedrigo is only short step from condition peak.

- very weak lineup

My prediction: Rebellin will be active, but....he isn´t as good as was in previous seasons.

+ in fact...nothing
- is it lineup of Pro Tour team?

My prediction: Boonen will try succeed in stage 2. That´s all what we´ll see from them.

Stage 2

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9032010-0.png

Only flat stage of Tour. Who will be fastest? Boonen, Napolitano, Hushovd, Freire or someone else?

Glen Suray joined earlybreakaway group. Next participants are Coyot, Belgy, Zanasca, Perget, Urtasun, Jeandesboz, Donald and Albasini. Later on, Albasini, great puncheur, will secure KOM jersey for next stage.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9032010-1.png

20km to go and peloton is all together, it´s time for sprinters.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9032010-2.png

My men bet on Lampre´s boys, Lemair can´t follow, Passeron is exhausted too, but Fedrigo feels great today (+5). Santos leads Hushovd into sprint.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9032010-3.png

His job is over, Hushovd moves in front, Fedrigo still holds his rear wheel!
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9032010-4.png

Thor Hushovd takes a win, Fedrigo is 2nd, Tombak 3rd. What a great surprise! It will be long night

Fedrigo is getting some great results. do you think you could get promoted?

also, what level are you playing at?

here is current Continental Tour rankings

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/rankings9032010.png

It seems I have big chances to promote...but: as in your story Cervelo bets on early season´s races, so do I. Reason is simple, one of my sponsor´s goals is to gain WC for TdF and I really want join Le Tour Smile And you know, it´s easier to gain points in early season, when most riders are out of condition Smile

Difficulty is hard.

Serramenti...but they will have big difficulties to avoid relegation back, they lost their best riders, Ginanni and Rebellin made over 1500 points together.

Stage 3

i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/d8f08f6b.png

Long stage with some hard climbs. I hope main favourites won´t attack until last climb, I don´t want to loose much time with Fedrigo in GC.

Morizot and Pauriol decided to break shortly after start, Morizot starts to collect mountain points.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/724408b9.png

Both escapees were caught by another riders. Polka dot jersey (Albasini) is presented too.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/c3b76d3b.png

Nice battle for KOM jersey. 1st Morizot, 2nd Albasini.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/73f38266.png

Col du Beal, hardest climb of stage, 100km to go - 1st Albasini, 2nd Morizot. Peloton is +8´30" back.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/544078ee.png

49km to go, bottom of Col de la Croix de l´Homme mort, gap is about 5min
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/e563d0cb.png

Leading group was split, on the top there are Calzati, Pineau and Pauriol in front. Morizot collects some points too and will wear polka dot jersey tomorrow!
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/db714a92.png

And here it comes, Jens Voight opens wave of attacks. My hopes were listened, attacks started 1km from peak of last climb.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/db8085bf.png

Group of favourites formed before main pack, Fedrigo is presented.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/f1394327.png

Morizot has just been caught, he will help to Fedrigo as long as possible. Calzati, Pauriol and Pineau are still ahead.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/c2d85ab6.png

14km to go, only Pineau stays in front.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/f8c3d02c.png

12km to go, he was caught, huge group of 22 riders are in front now.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/0b1b4b18.png

Carlos Sastre attacks front group. I´m really surprised, he looks very strong!
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/370789df.png

Only Moncoutie and Dekker are able to follow.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/d6754573.png

Pineau crashes!
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/79330476.png

And Medina is another victim.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/a9020de8.png

Leading trio cooperates very well, finish is getting close.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/9846ea49.png

Group of chasers. Rider in upper left corner is early escapee Baden Cooke, he was able to rejoin his group back, great spirit.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/0d78a92a.png

Last short hill, Fedrigo attacks chaser´s group!
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/5b53c2a6.png

Carlos Sastre wins the stage ahead of Moncoutie and Dekker.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/4a19c0de.png

Fedrigo comes as 4th, brilliant performance of my captain.
i720.photobucket.com/albums/ww201/beagle74/c4ea8d86.png

Tony Martin knows he has just lost yellow jersey.
