Great race for us yesterday with 3, 4, 13 and 15 and assist points from Turner.
Also the W do not score in Mathieu's home race, meaning the game is far from over. Still 6 teams within 300 points of the lead.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Block 8 results
Let's get the boring stuff out of the way first. Gaudu won the Tour de Jura for the Zondagcoureurs and the undrafted Lenny Martinez went on to win his 3rd (!!!) classic of this years game in Tour Du Doubs. What a miss he was. Martin also scored well in both races for the Macros.
The Amstel Gold Race did not get the expected winner with Tom Pidcock winning the race for the first time. Period. Despite Benoot and Vansevenant chasing each other down in the end, the Rogues were the best scoring team there with 5 riders scoring at least 10 points.
Fleche Wallonne was an insane result for the Racoons with 1st, 3rd, 5th and an assist for a combined 330 points. Despite only scoring 4 points in the other 3 races combined, this easily wins them the block.
We have a new leader in the Rankings and with a decent gap on the W as well. Gall and especially Vauquelin saved the day for them. The Zondagcoureurs are on the podium again with a solid block.
The Cobblers drop to 4th, only scoring in the Amstel. The Rogues are a close 5th after an excellent block. The fight for the podium will be very interesting. The Spokes seems to be out of that one after an underperformance this round.
The Red Lanterns missed the deadline and as they had little scoring oppotunities anyway, they end the block with 0 points. The Fainthearts did select Cosnefroy this round, and he brings the team back up to 8th. The 59'ers and Hornets stay in the top 10 despite lackluster preformances.
A good round for the Macros, scoring in all 4 races. They're not in the top 10 yet, but they are close. The Ice Tulips missed the deadline, but still scored well. A Pogacar win in Liege and the top 10 will still be possible for them.
At the bottom the Hussars were waiting for these races, but Skjelmose, Ayuso and Hermans never looked that convincing and last year's champions are only 13th. Another zero pointer for the Bombers in last place.

Good race by Cosnefroy today, and it actually was our only good one in the whole block. Onto the next...

Still all to play for as we approach the last monument in Liège. At the top it's Mathieu & Vauquelin vs. Van Gils and Williams to win the game. Or will the other races be the ones that will decide things? Frankfurt could deliver some nice extra points as well, or maybe the two smaller races.
The fight for the last podium spot will be interesting as well. The Zondagcoureurs, Cobblers and Rogues all have some interesting riders for this race. Then there's the fight for the top 10 where it can still go all directions. I need your startlists by sunday morning 10:00 am.

I began to dream a little when Kragh Andersen was so far ahead in FW, but it wasn't to be. Madouas is doing okay so far in the Ardennes, hopefully he can top it off with a great LBL. Other than that, Politt with a late attack in Frankfurt is probably my best hope.
