Mortensen was just as good as Ocaña if not better, just sadly that the DS of the team, was such an Ocaña ass-licker

brun: Christensen WAS at designa last year. he did nothing and was booted out of the team. Probably the same reasons that got him out of Quickstep. In Tankink's words "all talk, no work"
as for Mortensen, he was better than Ocaña, eh? better than a guy who regularly contended neck to neck with Eddy merckx, eh?
exaggerating a little, aren't we?

None the less, he has been rumoured back at Designa again for the next season. He even won some swedish race, and was selected for the national team in Tour of Denmark, where he ended 33rd overall 1'08 minutes back
edit: oops, he DNF'ed on the last stage of ToD, but was 24th before the last stage

Maybe but at some occasions where he had a free role in the tour, and he looked like one of the best in the race, all of a sudden his free-pass is called back because he may end up being better than Ocaña in the GC at the end.

After Szmyd it's Zaugg's turn to go to Liquigas. They're assembling a truly scary armada of climbers. Basso's gonna win the Giro easily next year.

That's rather surprising, considering how much he complained about his team during the Tour. |

doubt Kohl will sign there. And he most definitely will not sign for Quick Step.
I'm expecting Milram or similar.

Devolder's staying at Quickstep for 2 more seasons.
Also had an offer from Katyusha.
As they do with every rider they've ever made offers to, Katyusha denied ever having made an offer.

Silence may have signed but not announced another mountain helper to go along with Popo that Cadel approves of. I read somewhere that a deal with Popo had been agreed to for two months before they announced it. |

On Monday Katyusha will anounce it's roster for 2009. Wanna bet Pozzato is in it?
